I was talking to some random guy earlier today and he mentioned how that the Super Mario All stars for the snes is rare because it wasnt made for a very long time because they started making Super mario All Stars + Super Mario World.

if this is true how much?:icon_bigg

ive got a pristine copy sitting in my hands hahaha.

It's harder to find a Super Mario Allstars + World than it is to find a regular allstars.

The Allstars+World one was "pack-in only" (With new systems), I think.
While the regular Allstars was available as both a pack-in with new systems and as a stand-alone.

But they are hardly what I would consider "rare". As they both show up for a "reasonable" price if you want to get ahold of them. It's not like you have to go into a 3 digit bidding war to get one. (Heck, you can probably get them without ending up on a double digit or by just crossing the line, even)

Correct. But it's less common to find a regular Allstars with a box.

Allstars and World was available stand alone in the UK, just FYI.

Well, that applies to pretty much anything old.
But I'd say it's more unusual to come by a US Allstars+World (CIB w/console or not, doesn't matter) than a boxed regular (stand-alone or w/console box).
(PAL Allstars+World is more easy to find)

    Really? I haven't seen a single one.
All information I can find seems to point towards that the All-stars + World cartridge was a pack-in only. (With the exception of one out of several Wikipedia articles mentioning the cartridge. Which as usual is about as informative as the word "Play" is in translation without any context added to it)
I'd love to see what this box looks like, got any pictures?

Mario World + All Stars stand alone is quite uncommon, say 40€.
Mario All Stars is as common as oranges. You can get them anywhen for a couple of euros (unboxed that is).

This was released in Europe as well? :eek:h:
I don't remember seeing it at all in any store where I live.
Maybe it was part of a bundle, but I don't remember one.

When I got my European SNES, they had a bundle where you could get 1 game of your choice with it. I chose Super Mario Allstars, but there was no Super Mario World on it. I guess it's different...

Oh well... I lost the cartridge when I moved 12 years ago. :crying:

Hehe, I bought both the SNES and GBA version in 2002 or so.

Too bad we most likely won't get All Stars+World on the Wii VC... okay, Super Mario World is there, but Super Mario All Stars... they'll never release it, since they prefer selling the NES/FC versions... I don't want to get those, though.

I guess I'm going to check out eBay for Super Mario All Stars + World when I have some money to spare.
