Apparently the U.S. disc was leaked by an E.B. Games associate...there is some sort of protection on the disc preventing it from booting on modded consoles. There are a couple modchip manufacturers that have released a fix to boot the disc. I wonder now if an original disc will be encrusted with this protection, or if somehow it only affects copies??....or if that is even possible and how?

 

It would be possible if it checks the media type somehow. CDR noboot else boot. But no clue Im not really looking forward to another 3D mario anyway so i cant really be bothered with this game.

 

I have it in a bag where it will probably stay for quite some time since I'm now in to DDR and Ghost Squad.

Regarding the leaked copy of UR MR GAY:
I call "numbnuts" on Nintendo for shipping ta copy of the full game early to certain retail outlets. Nintendo should know as well as we all do that people will 99% of the time develop work arounds for copy-protection.

I don't even know why Nintendo didn't ship out a demo.. like.. 1/2 or 1/4 of the game or something. Staff at the aforementioned stores are ordered to delete the save files after each day, so it wouldn't really make any difference.

Judging by all the positive info about this game coming in, I will be no doubtedly purchasing it. It's been a while since I've played a meaty game.

 

so the disc needs patching?

 

Is ghost squad worth getting? Is there a lot of extras in it?

 

Am I the only person that just doesn't get this?

This will be a Mario Galaxy weekend over here. I had this preordered for some time and the reviews in last weeks Famitsu (38/40) make me want to play it even more.

 

No joke, I can't stand Mario :nod: Never have been a fan and never will be. Yes, I've played the games but they are not for me. So why did I buy it you may be asking? Well, I guess I'm just a soft sod who love to waste his cash on big release games he'll never really get in to.

@GaijinPunch, DDR is Dance Dance Revolution. A new one just came out on the Wii.

Yeah, there are loads of extras plus many different routs throughout the levels. I've only played it for a few hours but it really does seem to have a lot in it for a gun game.

I wanna play this...it reminds of Mario 64, but I dunno much about it, like if it's as gimmicky as Sunshine, which I also liked. I'm wanting a Wii!

 

How is the "gun" speed and accuracy? Does it feel like you are actually pointing and clicking (lightgun, Area 51 style), or does it feel like you are just moving a cursor (positional joystick, Operation Wolf style)?

Its fantastic, i cant stop smiling since i put the disk in im upto the second observatory & im in gaming heaven.

 

Ahh man, is it really that fun?? It's gunna suck if I can't find a Wii next month or so, when I get the extra cash for one. =(

 

My little sister just one a Wii last night at a raffle at a Halloween party... Lucky... she has no use for it.. she'll play Wii Sports for all of ten minutes with her friends and then what... Sometimes life isn't fair... my friend said I should just kick her un the nuts and take it, but that wouldn't be very nice.
