Double fireball (quarter circles) & back forward, back foward mostly.

Basically double motions of standard specials.

There is an faq for it on gamefaqs, check the 3do section, the 3do version is better than the dc one anyways.

anti just press right before doing the hadoken movement, it really is simple.

    It's technically forward, down, forward-down + punch.

I know that, hadouken-like moves aren't my problem at all, it's just the weird shoryuken :)

I can get it every three out of five times by doing:

    Down-forward, down, forward, punch

The "press forward first" thing doesn't do it for me.

Edit: This isn't playing SSF2X, this is any other type of Street Fighter as well (thanks in part to the ultra-shit PSX controller's D-pad). The Saturn controller gives me much more success.

Yes indeed, but I like the (Saturn) arcade stick even more :smt033
(although I had to learn the moves all over when I switched to that)

I'm tempted to buy an arcade stick, but the only one I can find locally is the $20 used Nyko stick (is the stick by Nyko any good?).

Id just reccomend going on ebay and getting the offical one, granted it can get a little worn out(i know since i have one) but its the best one to use.

  16. THANK GOD, I AM NOT ALONE!!!

Shoryuken moves are nearly impossible for me to pull off, except sometimes by accident when I botch a hadoken. I do have some varying degrees of success when I am on the left side of a match, using my arcade stick, and am moving to the right before attempting the motion, but there are few times where I get a setup like that, heh.

And Taemos, if you can find it, I'd recommend Pelican's RealArcade joystick. You can get a version that works with the Playstation/PS2, and there's also one that works with the Gamecube, XBox, and PS2 all-in-one. It's built like a lot of the homemade sticks you see - wood box, decent amount of weight to it, and best of all, the buttons and stick are authentic arcade parts, meaning you can order a different joystick/buttons from Happ or your favorite parts manufacturer and swap everything out with only a little bit of desoldering wires (I swapped my joystick for a Happ Ultimate stick and put in the Japanese-style convex competition buttons). Here's a picture of a unit if you need help finding one: [IMG]

Also, if you're wanting a gamepad that's a little more fighter-friendly than the PSX joypad, I highly recommend the new Street Fighter Anniversary Edition controllers from Nuby - normal 6-button layout, excellent d-pad for pulling off moves, and it currently comes in Akuma, Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li flavors if you're choosy, with more apparently in the works. Plus they should be easy to find at Blockbuster, Gamestop/Software Etc., and possibly EB Games too.

    Excellent, thanks :drinkers: .

I'll try and start looking. I have to save money for my car insurance, but maybe I can sneak some out for an arcade stick (I've always wanted one for the fighters). Those Street Fighter controllers look great, too.

I can get every move out well except for the 360 ones (dalsim zangeff) :angry using the d-pad on the DC pad. Ive got a DC arcade stick too but I can't get any moves out with that :smt022 :smt043

    TRUST ME!!!

I can pull off a dragon punch every time and I mean every time, all you do is press right before the quarter circle hadoken.

Read the instructions and this is the move, there is no secret malice by capcom to change it.

Was playing street fighter ex 3 on the ps2 earlier, i managed to snag a sealed copy for a fiver the other day, doesn't feel quite right in 3d but it is pretty good.Better than tekken at least the old sf strategy is there.

Guys, if you think doing the Street Fighter shoryuken is hard then try doing the Hodouken from Art of Fighting !! That is one bitch of a move to pull off on a pad. goes like this. right, right/down, down, left/down, left, right. Doesn't sound that hard but you'll mostly end up jumping when you push back on the pad :(
