Last year I got into contact with a guy who claimed somebody from BetaArchive, who went by the username Johnoboy1982, uploaded a torrent containing a copy of The Sims 2 beta version onto torrent sites. And according to him, the torrent got removed very quickly after it appeared. The upload date was February 17, 2014 and the file size was roughly 3 GB. It just sounds too good to be true for it to have happened. What do you all think of this?
I know there is a thread for this already but don't know where it is. Do you mean the pre-fire version?
I think I made a thread requesting it, but nobody had it. And yes. I'm referring to the version before the fire.
Same here. Because, the beta was, from both a gameplay and graphical point of view, much better than what we got in the end. I mean, tons of stuff from the beta wasn't carried over to the final game, such as hospital births and aging furniture. Trust me; there's much more than those 2.
Is this "new" or old footage ? Because both clips got uploaded in 2015 and 1st one even says "leaked"... ? So, who might be teasing us here ?
According to this forum link, another guy (frogz2007) claims he knew a guy who owned a copy of the "Pre Fire" version as well (2003) and explains how it worked and looked : http://www.modthesims.info/d/printthread.php?t=542482&page=4&pp=25 ...but the laptop of that other guy "crashed"...whatever that means. -_- So "John Under" probably is "Johnoboy1982" from Betarchive...but thats it.
Sorry, I truly did not read the "Ok, here is what he had told me about it:". Oooops ^^ Will correct it. p.s. A "crashed" laptop is never lost...especially if you want to recover the "Pre-Fire" version of The Sims 2
