Guests take a dip in beer pool
An Austrian holiday resort is offering guests the chance to swim in a pool containing 42,000 pints of beer.
The Starkenber Beer Myth resort located in and around the medieval castle of Starkenberger in Austria's Tyrol region has filled seven 13ft long pools with the beer.
The management claims that beer baths heal various skin diseases.
However, some guests are said to have enjoyed drinking their favourite brew while swimming in the pools.
Manager Markus Amann, 23, said: "I would rather swim than swallow, as we serve enough of a cold, fresh tapped beer on the bars next to the pools."

well not a bad idea if you can get the hornets/wasps away afterwards because of the sugar on your body

 

THey should have a pool filled with seltzer water. Have your whole body tingle lol.

 

That would suck to swallow that beer, they should make alcoholics swim in beer after hundreds of people took a dip, that would make them stop

 

I wonder how many people can stand up straight once they get out (if they can get out)

no different than swimming for extended periods in saltwater or anything else...the skin only allows so much absorbtion before it reaches a maximum homeostatic balance.

a good hoppy beer would be refreshing.

Not a good idea, with the stories about dissolving beef in coke and stuff... and A.Snow, Austria != America.
