I have a question about the technical difference of a 009 and a 009 (with "011 R"-Sticker)-Mainboard. I have 2 Black XDK´s : Number 1: Black XDK (MFR-Date: 2005-08-15) Mainboard: X803600-009 (Pic) Recoverys: Only with Modifications on the Recovery Number 2: Black XDK (MFR-Date: 2008-05-04) Mainboard: X803600-009 WITH 011-R Sticker! (Pic) Recoverys: All works! Where are the technical difference on this boards? Thanks for help!
Falcon? WTF on the sandwich? Both are Xenon Prototype Mainboards (009) and one of this has a 011 R-Sticker by the fans. The first can not be updated to 5xxx etc. (max. 4929 Recovery) , the second one is the same Mainboard and can be updated to all Recovery Version (atm 12xxx). I will know, where are the TECHNICAL Differences of this Boards! Where you see a Falcon? The "second one" with 009-Mainboard and 011R-Sticker by the fans:
A console made in 2008 should not be a xenon, but yours does not have hdmi, so it has to be, or either and opus. I'm not sure about this one for certain but I do know that different version of the same boards have different components sometimes, the circuits are there, just missing the parts like in my zephyr there is added resistors, regulators, to turn on leds for example. If you are just wanting to know just go over parts of the console starting with the flash chip see if they match, ect. If you can figure out what modifying the recovery does to get the recovery to work on the older console you can figure out why you have to mod it, which in turn will tell you a difference. Hawk
1. ALL XeDK´s or XDK´s from 2005 going in the Year 2008 back to MS, for """refurbishing" the Kits. 2008 is NOT the Manufacture Year! 2. Both Boards has at the first and the second look..same hardware! 3. Opus? Where you see a Opus? See you a new CPU-Heatsink like Opus, Falcon or Jasper? Nope! See you a HANA-Chip? Nope! See you a Opus-Boardnumber? Nope! But thanks for "help".
1. You put MFR-Date, and not refurb date. 3. I was just saying it was a possibility calm down, but that is the time when xenons where being replaced with opus boards so it was something to look into. Hawk
Seen this shit a while back.. The main batch of these kits went through Memphis, TN before being unloaded at a gas station. Kits are weird.. Just normal Xenons really though.
The majority of them weren't sold through craigslist however. The majority went through one person who got another man to do the actual selling. The person with the kits didn't know the value, while person #2 would be making enough profit so that when he sold one, he got one free. Some however strayed to other people and such, yeah.
Ehm Xenon? Please keep the topic clean, i will know the technical difference of this Board, nothing other. Thanks.
Heres a tip man, if your coming here requesting help try not to be a prick to the people who are helping you. The man answered your question. If you would like blueprints to the thing call up Microsoft.
 i dont think microsoft would do that. maybe old xbox would be cool if we know someone that works in microsoft. i wish i did i would be sneeking around looking for them. and there xbox tools and hardware. just a thing that would be cool.
Kind of the point... In other words take what help you can get and don't slam people for doing the research for you.
I have a pre-launch rev. 009 console that was refurbished in 2008 as well. So far it's run everything I've thrown at it without any issue. I would try upgrading to a newer recovery to see if it works or not, if given the necessary resources.
Yes.. It works.. Why do people need info on these? They work exactly like normal consoles.. But they're Xenons, so they're shit and bound to die lol.
