Just reading in the news today about a 17yr old Japanese boy walking into a Police station in Aizu Wakamatsu city in Fukushima prefecture (Northern Japan) carrying his mothers decapitated head. Apparently he had killed his mother and given himself up.

The news report also went on to suggest that there had been a high number of similar cases in Japan recently, where dismembered body parts have either been handed in to the authorities or left lying in public areas. What a horrible thing to discover!

You'd have to be particularly "ill" to do that to your own mother, or anyone else for that matter!

I am trying to figure it out. The rage, frustration and anger leading to the arguement or fight I can get to. I can understand teenage angst as I was one once (a while back) and now have my own teenage kid who is demonstrating the same behaviour as if it was unique (as they always do). We have arguements, but which parents don't at this sort of age?

However to have accidentally caused an accident and possibly an injury is bad enough. To have killed your parent and then (and this is the bit I am genuinely struggling with) to have found it necessary to cut her head off :eek:h:

Surely, the vast, vast majority of people would have paniced, dialled emergency services and cried uncontrolably down the line. This guy, goes and gets a knife and expends the energy (which must be considerable) to cut her head off!

Just HOW bad would the teenage angst and "youf" disease have to be?

According to my wife who feels it's her private duty to tell me all this shit, he told the police "anyone would do". His mother just happened to be around him at the wrong time.

Holy cow?! What sort of reasoning is that? The older I get, the wiser I assumed I would become. In reality I pick up information, which generally leads to yet more questions, a lot of which goes unanswered. So, in reality the older I become the less I understand of this world & the people on it!

Japan really does have some fucked up teens, that's for sure. I mean, why cut of the head? Doing that alone would make you stop. I mean, how could you do it without throwing up everwhere? Yes, these people should be locked away for life.

What I can't understand though is his motive! "I want terrorism and war to disappear from the world," police quoted the teenager as saying. "It didn't matter whom I chose to kill." So if he wanted terrorism and war to end then why the fuck kill someone?

That is genuinely his quoted reasoning? It gets more & more screwed up!

I really agree with the first comment, that just looking down on the neck of any human being and thinking "....I have a plan..." and away he goes into some "other" ness that makes sense of his actions. The mess, the gore, the blood, the sound, the tension in the tissue! His own mothers tissue...

Perhaps, I watch too many horror films, but in reality that's what this action consists of.

There are easier ways of getting rid of your teen tensions & inner frustrations folks, and it's called a games console. Jack are you listening or are you pouring through the news paper reports trying in vain to find out whether he owned a GameBoy Advance or ANYTHING electrical that might have frazzled his scrambly little teenage brain? 'Cause you will have your revenge on the world for having missed out on that video fun in your youth....nobody else is allowed it!

Yes and no. Japanese schools are a load of crap. that's why many if not almost all students go to Juku (Night School) to study. Speaking to one of my wife's friends daughters told me a lot about the school system.

She said that a lot of stuff is pointless and a lot of time is wasted doing everything the "long way" as she put it. This girl is quite open minded unlike a lot of Japanese so maybe, just maybe she has figured out what a load of crap the Japanese teaching system is. Now I'm not saying the British system is any better but at least it's not all dolled up to be something it's not.

well be it crappy or not, it's very demanding, which will drive many students crazy and stress them out.

It's demanding, but at the same time unfair and arbitrary. Girls that get pregnant in the last week of their final year at school get expelled. The pass/fail line at some schools is 40%, and students who receive scores under that line in their classes get their scores bumped up anyway. The principals of those schools force their teachers to gerrymander their students' scores to a passing grade.

Make friends with a lot of JET teachers working at public schools, and you'll hear the horror stories of complete ineptitude/prehistoric teaching methods & attitudes.

    Neo-Tokyo is about to E.X.P.L.O.D.E.

My father and his partner take in exchange students who go to the UK to study and practice English. A Japanese girl that was staying there said that in her town/city (I don't have the name) had a problem with biker gangs decapitating people and impaling the heads on fence posts.

She might have been telling tall tales but my father said she seemed completely genuine. She also told the story during Sunday lunch - hoho

When was this? can't have been in the last few years or last 10. Japan has arse holes just like any other country. These kids are thick as shit as you'd imagine, wearing over sized clothes and basically looking like tossers. They are called Yankees since their hair style STILL resembles 50's teddy boys. In my city we have almost no Yankees but in Kita Kyushu where I work there's load of the pricks. Can't stand them  They won't cause the individual any harm mind you unless you irritate them unlike the scum in the UK.

This would have been about 5-6 years ago. At least one person decapitated and their head impaled on a fence, but he said it was a problem so I assume more. I'll try and find out where she is from, she still contacts my dad's girlfriend from time to time.

Yeah... saw a guy w/ his pants hanging down past his ass in the combini the other day. I wanted to point out what a tool he was, but it's just not my place I suppose.

    She needs to either
    a: Practice her English
b: Watch a lot less Apocalypse Now
c: Quit listening to other people

The biker gangs (bosuzoku) are generally just a noise nuisance, or might be involved in petty crime. Decapitation + impalement? No.

There was actually one case of a student who impaled the head of a kid on a school fence. It was in Kobe in 1997 and had considerable media coverage. Someone might have got that wrong and mixed it with the biker gang story...
