    Just stumbled upon this today:

    http://www.lowbudgetify.com/turbografx-easy-rgb.html

curious as to what you guys think since I have a stock USA turbografx that I'm wanting to RGB mod.

Would like to region mod it with a switch as well but only researched that a little bit.

There are various flavours of TurboGrafx/PC-Engine. The UK version, which is the one in illustration, is easy to tap off the CTX chip and get native RGB output directly with no amplification.

    Region free is easy, http://www.bacman.co.uk/home/turbografx-region-free/

Pretty sure it's US. As far as I can see there's only one crystal, and no CXA1145 either :)

Would it kill the guy to get photos that aren't awful?

Not a fan of that socket either. There are better solutions out there, although the PCB looks fine.

Ye, I definitely need one of those. In the comments, he states that the connector is just a standard one from Samtec and is easily found on the site, but I can't find it and he doesn't give a model number. I've been looking for that type of connector for quite some time and have never found one or I'd have experimented with something similar. Cool that it's actually coming out. I would just like to make a BNC or DB15 terminated version.
