  4. Oh dear...

...It has nothing to do with the Launch Team!

The Partner Xbox's were made later on for major component / service suppliers.

They were given out for free, too.

The one i'm trying to get my paws on was given to someone at Nvidia

I have one of these. Its the only thing I can claim thats rare.

Actually I gutted it and kept the case so all I have is the case and jewel thats rare. At the time I wasnt into collecting I just was sure I wanted the case.

dang you, and your infinite knowlege

  10. ...Not that many were made, although as you can imagine there are a lot of 'partners' involved, in other words a 'few' consoles went to each 'partner'.

There are, but the launch ones have a different jewel. They look very, very similar. I was looking at mine this weekend and it looks like the jewel has raised off the case a little. Its got a funny scratch but its smooth as can be. Gotta be the bottom of it *shrugs*

Hmm... 60 of each of the signed boxes were made, two skids plus 4 for Quality Assurance. (I finally got the info i needed to check out the numbers on each system). I don't know how many were distributed... yet. I would assume some were kept at Xbox HQ. 2 of the QA boxes would have been destroyed, 2 would go into stoage, if they followed standard procedures

EDIT: My math was wrong, it's 28 xboxes to a skid...

I didnt know the guts were of value also. Oh well ya live ya learn.

  16. Well nothing is of value now... You might as well just throw away the rest of it too. You could of saved yourself alot of trouble and just taken the whole thing and placed it right into the garbage.

Rare consoles are just that, rare consoles.. Not just the part of them that's different. No collector is going to pay more than a few bucks for a gutted case. In fact the console probably shouldnt have even been removed from it's box.. If there was indeed only 60 made, you just took a $1500+ console and devalued it to about $20.

    Same guts different shell...

Does the Xbox have anything like the stupid void sticker on the PS2 that leaves a mark when you take it off? If it doesn't then couldn't he just replace the guts with some from a console of the same revision?

It had already been removed from the box. The Green dukes were MIA and it has a huge gash on the top. This was all done before I got my hands on it. I didnt get it to sell for profit, I just wanted something unique.

Im sure you've never made a mistake oh holy collector. You made your point in your first post, no reason to beat a dead horse. Whats done is done. Thanks for shitting in my cornflakes, have a great day.

This is still the worst Xbox LE mod ever:

I found out it belongs to the xbox director of marketing too... talk about someone who should know better...

Handles25, does your partners xbox say "Special Edition" on the front? I don't think they do, but i'm not sure.

I disagree. He saved the shell which in all honesty is the only part that really matters anyway. That is the only thing original anyway. The rest can be replaced. It's not like the internal's are different such as TEST system or NR Reader.
