If I recall correctly, F-Zero GX didn't sell well. That probably plays a role as well.

    I don't know anyone that doesn't want a new F-Zero.

According to VG Charts, it was about 650,000 worldwide. I wouldn't say that's a small enough number to have the series come to a halt.

    Miyamoto.

If you get one, get a pro controller. They are nicely made and is far more comfortable to use then that tablet thing.

Proof that old fart needs to retire. He's creatively bankrupt.

Those sticks though, so awkwardly placed. A stick over the Dpad is one thing but over the facebuttons, that's really off putting.

They need to take that tablet and shrink it to about Vita size.

A new F-Zero would be cool, it's probably the only non-car racer I like.

I still have 2 of the 3 GBA F-Zeros to nab but a new one is desperately needed.

There are some good motorcycle racing games, like Hang On and Manx TT for example. There are also jet ski racing games like Wave Race and Wave Runner. There are snowboard/skiing racing games like Alpine Racer, 1080, SSX, etc. There are also a few airplane racing games - there was one for the PS1, I forget the name.

But back to F-Zero, I think anyone who's played F-Zero GX will admit it's a pretty awesome game. I think it's pretty close to perfect in almost every area. The fact that it didn't sell very well is probably due to poor marketing - and also the fact that, despite having a large fanbase, F-Zero has never been as popular as some other Nintendo franchises.

I have a friend who likes most kinds of videogames, but he has absolutely no interest in racing games. He says he doesn't like them because if he wants to drive, he can do it in real life. I've tried to explain to him that you can do things in a racing game that you couldn't do in real life, but he doesn't seem to care. Whatever.

I think F-Zero's sales are due to two things, Dying arcade scene, no AX to interact with and a low at the time install base.

That was plain dumb. At a loss for words how few arcade operators outside Japan were going to shell out for this.

Now we know that F-Zero AX is on the GX disc and we just need an action replay with saveable codes to access it.

Yeah good luck finding a cheap Action Replay now

Wow, I didn't expect this thing to be worth anything. My disc is scratched to hell and still works flawlessly. Thank God for the GameCube's laser.

I got a copy of Namco 50th for gamecube around christmas. Cube struggled to read the disc. Also got a Zelda collectors Cube had trouble reading that disc. Both were scratched to hell. The AR for cube I'm talking about is the one with the memory card, so one can load the F Zero cheat file to play AX.
