I think we've got enough wrestling fans on these here forums to talk Rasslin and have it's own thread. The KI 360 thread was proof enough.

We have a Lot to talk about, The WWE Draft, New Japan G1 Climax, The Cruserweight Classic, NXT, The Batshit insanity that is Broken Matt Hardy in TNA. Cody Rhodes in Ring of Honor (maybe he'll be the one to unseat Jay Lethal) , Lucha Underground. Kenny Omega the voice of us gamers in Pro Wrestling and Xavier Woods.

Plenty to discuss. OH and we have Battleground Sunday which looks real solid for a non Major PPV that's had no build up whatsoever.

    "It's not real wrestling"
    "John Cena"
    [Wrestling memes]

Now that that's out of the way, we can begin the real discussion.

I'm also curious what everyone's opinion of "Cage Matches" is. Does it even add anything to the experience?

You know as a human being and Wrestler I like John Cena. As a character I think he's pretty stale and I could watch AJ Styles beat him up all day.

I saw Orton and Taker Hell in a Cell live and it's up there among my favorite matches I've seen in person. But that's Hell in a Cell, Typical cage matches EHH, Although Samoa Joe and Finn Balor at the last NXT Takeover was great.

And going back a bit, Owen Hart VS Bret at Summerslam 94, Phenominal cage match, and even though David Arquette was champion. I really like the Triple Cage match between Him, DDP and Jeff Jarrett at Slamboree 2000.

John Cena has the distinction of granting the most "make a wish" wishes out of anyone in history.

I had a customer who was terminal at who got flown to San Fransisco to meet him when he was 12. The kid could not have been happier and he talked about the meet non stop whenever I saw him for months. He posted pictures wih him all over his room. He died within the year :( Most depressing funeral I've ever been to.

Raw and Smackdown totally hooked me for their comedy/trashy style in 1999 and 2000. Never saw a PPV live and hardly watched WCW.
As something of a Foley fan, I think in one of my WCW fleeting moments they mentioned Cactus Jack. But it might not have been the fingerpoke night since even I'd remember THAT trainwreck.

Past the ill-fated last nWo revival are several blurry years, eventually giving up during the looooong transition into the PG era.

Regardless I continue to enjoy the video games, occasional doses of past matches, or so on.

I'm really enjoying the WWE right now, Raw hasn't been amazing lately but it's been watchable. The Draft was disappointing neither brand really feels distinct with that draft. But my favorite wrestlers are all in the WWE right now, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe and Austin Ares in NXT, Dean Ambrose Becky Lynch and AJ Styles on Smackdown. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Charlotte, Anderson and Gallows, New Day, Sasha Banks and others on Raw. Wresatling fans on wrestling sites think I hate wrestling because I just watch the WWE, but I just watch the WWE now because all my favorites are IN THE WWE right now. That's not even counting people in the Crusierweight classic that I've formed aquatances with on social media like Tozawa, and Johnny Gargano, and TJ Perkins who's just the most humble wrestler I've ever talked to and shared the most wrestling knowledge with me. I'd like to watch more New Japan and I was for a while but file sizes of their shows got too big and losing AJ Styles and Nakamura took a lot away. I like Okada, and Hirroko Goto, Naito, I consider Kenny Omega a friend and I love the Young Bucks, but No Nakamura really takes a lot off the table over in NJPW.

I only watched the first 2 hours of the draft. I don't know who else was drafted from NXT or what happened with the rest of the wrestlers. I guess I'll find out as time goes by and I watch the shows.

    So...Battleground is tonight....
Main Event prediction.... Rollins pins Reigns win so Dean doesn't lose the title directly.

Thanks for reminding me. I got it on the pc's calander but I wouldn't have remembered until it was almost time. Could be the last or one of the last times we see Raw and Smackdown talent together.

    No they didn't

Raw was good this week but Smackdown was better, Where has this Dolph Ziggler been? Fire on the mic. Summerslam is going to be fun this year.

I'm glad the wyatts aren't totally split. They left the red haired one for Bray. I heard sometime ago they wanted to make the big guy a big name. That might be why they split him from the rest. Wonder if that other wyatt will ever come back.
