All in all, there are probably 15000+ records, up to around the late 70's would be my guess. Still have yet to go through all of them hah
Wow, that's impressive! I have a total of one vinyl - Tool: Lateralus... Just bought it yesterday, haha
Holy hell.. I understand massive collections, but is it even possible to listen to that much music in one life time? Are there any duplicates?
nice bunch of records there. how is the condition of the storage? humidity etc..? how much you estimate its value? :icon_bigg
amazing, i was really into records when i was a kid.. still have some of the gems, beatles white album, dark side of the moon and a couple of others that are kinda hard to find never listen to em tho as i find it much smoother to just pop a CD in
There are some duplicates, but not as many as you would think. There is a lot, and I mean a lot, of Jazz down there. Its really a mix of stuff, some of it that we havent discovered Just yesterday I found a Duke Ellington with the original NY Times clippings from his death. Some of the records are worth quite a bit, weve found a few worth over 100 each, but even if you figure just 1$ each, that is still over 15000$ dollars. The records are actually stored in the barn in our yard, which may seem wierd, but it is actually quite dry and not humid at all. No direct sunlight comes through the one small window. Most of the damage if there is any is because of the previous owner.
A friend was telling me yesterday about the Cheech and Chong record that had a gigantic rolling paper in it. Do you own that record?
Very very nice...i have about 200 records all heavy metal gems and i worship them more than anything. I still prefer the sound of vinyl...
As one of the resident "CD-i Freaks" I'm going to have to say... that is one beautiful collection :love2:
Im not even convinced thats all of it, I think there are a few more promo games to dig out somewhere. Edit: I know there is, since I know my green promo disk is missing, so theres probably a few left I havent unpacked Edit2: Just found 3 more of the demonstration / promo disks, too lazy to dig to see if there are more hah.
WOW! Great Vinyl collection! My dad's a music lover too, but he's more into CD's as far as I know (I think we own 2500+ CD's and 200 Vinyls). Same for the CD-i collection, I've never seen someone with a bigger collection than that. There's still one thing I'm wandering about, are there any decent CD-i games? I just bought a proffessional CD-i player (model 660 I think) for 20 euro's so I'm looking for some nice games, if they excist.
