I thought it was great, too. I didn't care for Soundtrack to Your Escape, though . I still need to find the first album (Lunar Strain/Subterranean), and get a "real" copy of Clayman. These things are fairly hard to find down here, since FYE only carries select CDs. The Cure: Staring at the Sea
Brand New - Deja Entendu. I hated this CD at first, but it's grown on me. Edit (not worthy of another post ) : I'm downloading some Entwine, and I'm liking it. It's eBay time .
inflames rocks. :smt045 anyway, does anyone know what the hell hapened to Rage against the machine? since the singer left, they were suposed to find another one and go on, but i never heard about them after this. and i'm on the self-titled album of system of a down right now. :-D
The other members of Rage Against the Machine actually joined with the singer from Soundgarden and made the band Audioslave. They are on their second album which was just released a 2 months ago. The music they play is not the same as RATM though. For more information I would visit this fan site. Audioslaved As for the singer of Rage Against the Machine, he is known to do little poem readings in small venues out here in California. Here is a web site with more information on him. ZDLR
That Brand New disc is great! I'm not usually into that type of music but it's a solid album. If you pick up Entwine's new disc, let me know how it is. Gone was wonderful, one of my favorite albums. Time of Despair was not as good, which is why I haven't picked up the new one yet. As for what I've been listening to: Jupiter Ace: 1000 Years Bloodbath: Resurrection Through Carnage Michael Gray: The Weekend Junior Jack: Trust It Faith No More: Album of the Year Ark: Burn the Sun Paradise Lost: Draconian Times James Murphy: Feeding the Machine Not much has come out lately that interests me unfortunately.
well, audioslave sounds a bit like RATM (from the only music i heard from them right now), wich isn't a bad thing. Anyway, i never heard of audioslave and all before, thx.
Yeah, this guy is awesome! A guy at works brother is big into underground hiphop, and he hooked me up with these albums. If you can recommend any other artists along the same lines as MF Doom, I would be much appreciated. :smt033 ^_^_^
Depeche Mode - Precius :-D damn great song just got it today (from the new and upcoming album Playing The Angel )(just head the first remix and it is smashing great )
I don't know what cahaz said, but I'd like to . I sooo want to take French. I didn't like the CD at first because I thought it sucked . That's what happens a lot with me. I hated In Flames at first, but I gave them a good listen, and now they're one of my favorite bands. Come to think of it, one of the only bands I liked right off the bat was HIM. Them and To/Die/For. I'm a sucker for goth metal, or basically anything with keyboards...
''déjà entendu'' means ''already heard'' i said that '' because i already heard that'' easy joke you know, and no more than that. i just couldn't resist. off-topic for taemos: (Parce que) (j' *) (ai) (déjà ) entendu ca (because) (i) ( - (have)) (already) (heard) (this/that) * when the pronoun ''Je'' (wich is the equivalence of ''i'') is before a verb using a vowel as its first letter, then you must remove the ''e'' of the pronoun and replace it with an '' ' ''. this have no other purpose than to soften and make the prounounciation smoother. ( j'ai versus je ai) Table of equivalents singular: Je, j' / i tu, toi / you il, elle, on, lui / he, she, (it* ) plurial: nous / we vous **/ you ils / they * in french, every words have a sex, for exemple ''house'' (''maison'') is a female (''feminin'') word, while ''car'' (''auto'', ''char'') is a mascualine (''masculin'') one. So there's no equivalence to ''it'', and we use ''il'' or ''elle'' depending on the word's sex. ** ''vous'' can aslo be employed as a more ''polite'' way to say ''tu'', this was mostly employed in the 1800's and 1900's and nearly disapeared in today's language, but you can still use it for aged persons (your grand-mother or grand-father, by exemple) or we you talk with you boss. ''tu'' is a more personal pronoun, for friends and all, or for every day's talking in the 2000s. that's all for today's little leason. hope you've learned something. If you want, i could maybe start a topic with little leasons like those. the only thing i hate about about french (which is my first language) is that it have alot of exceptions in it's grammar, so it can be quite rude with people trying to learn it's bases, especally with verbs. but it's still a very beautiful langague with alot of intersting variations.
Je sais pas pourquoi tu la deja entendu... Nice to find somebody else who's first language was also French!
c'est en france? moi je suis quebecois. ton francais semble un peu rouillé (pas d'offense), tu ne dois plus vraiment l'utiliser au états-unis.
