    Fack you man!

Some personal encounters I had with Engrish:

-a woman telling us to go "Lefto-ni"
-going to great lengths to photograph a girl's t-shirt saying "There is your kind invitation for the one way" on the sly :p
-a restaurant (I think) on the Konodai Station called "DIE HARD" :smt043

But apart from that not very much, oddly. At least not as much as Engrish.com made me believe there would be..

I've thought about that many times. Sega World quite often have some crazy English. There's also the case of normal English with pure bullshit meaning. There's a great one in the toilet in work that tells you by using the toilet seat covers your toilet time will be a wonderful experience :smt043 I'll grab a photo of that one tomorrow.

I came to the assumption long ago that Japanese companies can't get sued for false advertisement as long as it's in English.

Go look as the sign with a staff member and then point at the third line.

    Now proceed to scream this:

HELP !!!! UNKNOWN THING HAPPEN!!!! (drops to knees and screams in a horrible shriek) I SAID HELP!!! UNKNOWN THING HAAAAPPPPEEEEENNN!!!!! (Proceed to roll around on the floor , screaming, stop moving and then randomly twitch every 4-5 seconds)

Here's a pic I took from a sign outside a Romando Roll shop in the Porta Mall in Kyoto station. It made Engrish.com

I saw a post card one time that I still punch myself for not buying. It was for when you moved, and had a little cartoon sequence on it showing the person move, saying "please come on my new house!"

Looking around the house or some good Engrish today when I remembered the mighty Dream Parapara Engrish from China. take a look at this :smt043

"THERE IS NOT AN OFFICIAL SEGA PRODUCT" Well, maybe not in China :smt042
    [IMG]

At least the Japanese English is normaly spelt right unlike this "1 PALY" :-D
    [IMG]

"NO NEED MODIFICATION" Sounds like Neo Zeed is back with his bases ;-)

"SPECIALITY FOR CONTROLLER" Hmm? What is ?

At least they made a colour printed disc. The instruction book is also in full colour however is in Chinese which is a blessing after seeing what they did with every bit of English on the case. :smt043
