There's a whole bunch of horrible Arcadia/Interton/Studio II/Channel F clones that aren't on those lists - we tried compiling a list of all European systems at Digital Press recently, which included a lot of those. That list is here: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=66313 Oh, and there's the SD 2xx-based systems, such as the Soundicvision, which are similar to the VC4000-type systems but are a different format and often get missed from these type of lists.
Oh, and re: Sweater Fish Deluxe's list - there's no such thing as a TecToy Master System 4, though there are several incarnations of the Master System 3 Collection, which varying numbers of built-in games. There's also TecToy's various Mega Drive III/Super Mega Drive 3 systems. There's also no such thing as a John Sands or Yeno SG-1000, just the Grandstand one. John Sands & Yeno just distributed versions of the SC-3000 computer. Yeno did release a French version of the Super Cassette Vision though.
Indeed. Still, a valiant effort. Is somebody taking note of additions to this and Sweater Fish's lists?
if your not going to include the oddessy...than get rid of action max.....there is no roms in it...all tape based... if im not mistaken...worlds of wonder created teddy ruxpen(i still have one) marketed the nes and released the action max.....
I used to have one of those Action Max things as a kid. Yup, it's like the Odyssey - it just counts score from the gun shooting whiter areas of the screen - Not remotely close to a programmable videogame system, like the original Odyssey. Not much of a fun machine, either. I remember being quite unimpressed. And I was seven, it had airplanes (always a sucker for airplane stuff), videogame "elements" and a gun. So imagine that.
