The Games That Showed Their System's Power

    I think for the PS3, two titles come into mind. I generally think 1st party publisher will do this.

    1) Metal Gear Solid 4
    2) Uncharted 2

    One that also impressed me for the PS3 was 'Last of Us'. The graphics were almost on par with the next generation consoles.

    It certainly made the console work hard - that was the game that finally killed my fat PS3, and I wasn't the only one.

    Zelda Breath of the Wild for Wii U is an impressive feat for such underpowered system.

    Final Fantasy XV almost ruined my PS4. I guess you could call that utilizing system power haha.

    The Wii U got a lot of crap for its graphics, but then Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles X showed up and for my money, those games looked drop-dead gorgeous.

    The SNES port of "Another World" is an example of a game that pushed the limits of the hardware (or rather it had to because the publisher was too cheap to fork out for a better cart with the faster ROMs and things)
