    Guess what! Here they banned the flashing headlight to warn the opposite lane drivers. It's now against the law to do that and if you caught doing so can incur heavy fine not to mention the demerit point. -__-;

WTF!! That's just pure bull shit in every possible way. So basically it's against the law to help someone (by not letting them receive a fine). Sounds like commy law making to me.

Sounds like a good idea. Let more people crash. Then when they let the chinese in out of desperation for workers, they will lose their country.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal in some places in the states.

The exact opposite here. A number of cities have been accused of shorting the yellow light to increase profits. Never mind that it also increases rear-end accidents. They get to ticket for that too though so it's all good for them.

Or they just enjoy screwing with the cops...

as far as i know, it's not illegal here in Washington.

the cops really vary depending on where you're driving. around my place they aren't too bad but just a few short miles away in an area called Lakewood, worst cops ever. i feel sorry for anyone that gets pulled over there...

I flashed my lights at an oncoming guy here in Kansas, about a few hundred feet after I passed a cop (on a road that's entirely too wide for the area, it's truely difficult to go 40mph on a road this big). I saw the cop pull out a few moments later, by that time I was a little ways away.

First time I ran from the cops. Immediately ducked into a convenient neighborhood and squirreled my way through to the other side and detoured my way to my brother's place. I felt so proud. Obvisouly, I didn't screech into the neighborhood and tried to make it casual as if I wanted to turn there, in case I did get pulled over for running. Gunned it as soon as I was hidden.

I stopped flashing my brights and started turning my lights off then on quickly, and only to warn those idiots driving with their lights off at 2 in the morning.

I walked by one of these geniuses the other day in my neighborhood. I motioned to her, and I'm sure scared the shit out of her. I'm kind of tall... and white.

hoho, you should make a trip to China. At least in Shanghai where I have lived for 25 yrs....There is less limitation in traffic rules here, and no limitation in building your new house(But the average price is much higher than doing that in Tokyo or Osaka) or buying imported products(except for weapon:katamari: ).I think the most important reason for Japanese speed limitation is caused by their car production industry. It's well known for their "paper like" material....lighter cheaper n weaker....Although Japanese people always use hi-tech to make the driver safe, the car is still easy to be crushed.

But on the other way, limitation makes order in society.Sometimes I hope it would be more trafic and environment limitation in Shanghai.Discard all license from those driver who drive an 230% overloaded truck in a very high speed on road.I hope there would be more serious punishment to polluted water maker......

By the way,if you can get a private car in Pyongyang.I think there will be no limitation to you. :)

I suppose considering everyone and their brother drives a Ford SUV in America, it is deemed safe to drive at a reasonable speed.

It's also why I never bought a CRX.

Where does Shanghai fit in here?
    http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/Asia/Japan/square-meter-prices

Not sure if they take exchange rates into play. If so, Japan would've have surely jumped ahead of HK.

This is all neither hear nor there, though. China has more than enough reasons that would make any normal person not want to live there. Communist censorship, tainted milk, and toxic paint on toys to name a few.

Should be IMO. Too many fuckers on the road. You warn them this time, they won't learn for the time they might kill someone. Better to get a ticket than take a life.

That might sound melodramatic, but I see some crazy stuff that could kill people just on my way to work.
