I found Video Games New York really expensive. $7 or more for a DC's sports game it's a shame.

How can you day that? They are, literally, the most common console out there! Also, I don't think you know how the real world works

I'm a PA resident and I also enjoy the Exchange. Mario games are a bit overpriced, but otherwise they're pretty solid. I got a used DC w/ one NTSC controller, one PAL controller, one VMU, all the cords and a random PS RF adapter for $25 total.

Also as others have said, PS2s are extremely common. Longest life cycle for a console with around 13 years I believe. Highest selling console also IIRC. I mean, even a few years ago you wouldn't have gotten much. Now that another generation in front of it is going out, it will get even lower.

Yeah, I got my 3DO from them for $50, with a couple games and demos. Given how often I'm seeing PS2s, Xboxes (the original ones and even the odd 360), and Gamecubes at thrift stores, their value is as low as it'll go.

For sure. A 3DO for that cheap? You got an absolute steal. I would be ecstatic if I found one at an Exchange, let alone for that inexpensive of a price point. My Sega Saturn was $60 from there, and I didn't really think that was too bad. What games came w/ the 3DO? I would go for the Alone In The Dark port.

Space Hulk and Crash n Burn (the latter of which I believe was a pack in with the system), neither had their boxes, but still, for $50 with a complete system, quite a steal.

The only time pawning things works for a profit is when you do reselling from garage sales and take your stuff there. @ HEXIGON being incorrect earlier.

Selling a core system by itself, you will probably get next to nothing for it.

Clean it 'til it shines, bundle it with a few choice games, controllers, and some harder to find accessories... You've got yourself a buyer!

I'd recommend holding on to the PS2, getting a Network Adapter for it, and scrapping an IDE hard drive from an old tower laying around. There's a community of people that make FMCB memory cards provided you have one to donate and pay shipping.

PS2 has an amazing library. I've had one on-and-off for at least 11 years and there are so many games I still have yet to even try.

I know a certain eBay seller trying to sell a piece of Nintendo development hardware for a ridiculous amount. Perhaps you should choose what topics you spam more carefully ;)
