The Playstation briefcase

I bought this 2 years ago. Its a Playstation, in a custom breifcase and was probably taken to stores to promote some competition. The seller got in contact with Sony and this is what they said:

Hi,

Thanks for your e-mail about PlayStation One (PS one).

I can see from your e-mail that you own a PS one, which is in a case. I can advise that this item was not produced in the UK.

From the branding at the top of the case, the competition telephone number and instructions it seems to be for use in the Belgium/Luxembourg/Netherlands area, possibly for sales.

The console also appears to be a first generation PlayStation. It was made by a company who seem to specialize in travel cases:

I'm imaging a sales man walking from door to door with this Plastation briefcase trying to sell a PS1 to the house holders and also some vacuum cleaners xD

 

It's very cool! One of the prizes pieces of my collection.

Just strange that there is just no information available (even from Sony).

When I first read the title of the thread, I expected to see one of those Blockbuster PlayStation briefcases. What a pleasant surprise this turned out to be, great find!

I was surprised that they responded. But I imagine it was a nice change to receive an email regarding this then 'My PS3 is faulty'.

Its very unique and I am glad I can share the info I have on it.

£120 about 2 years ago. I did'nt want to pay more then that as there is so little information on this item.

 

it is dutch and france that is one the box. if you need some translated.. im dutch so a better picture would be great
