How much? 380 Watts, that much... To put it in perspective, the X360 uses up to 160 watts, and the PS2 just 45 watts. So, in theory, the PS3 would cost you $40 per year in electricity by an average use of 2 hours/day. Dunno about europe, but since energy prices are higher there you guys may get yet another reason to hate sony.
ahahah funny, but i think nobody cares about... i mean, probably we could safe 3ce as much by changing our old washing machine with a new one, or by not using dishwasher... but anyway, what is sucking so much energy in it? the cell?
And now there's only 80k PS3s to be available at launch for Japan...hasn't Sony dropped the ball enough already?
Dang, that is a lot. Does this mean it's going to require a gigantic power transformer thingy like the 360 does? However I'm not suprised it uses so much power, that's as much as my computer uses.
funny, the ps3 incorporates the AC adaptor internally unlike the 360, Wii and gamecube. How the hell are they keeping it quiet AND cool?
they should get some for the 360 then damn that 360 drive makes a crapload of noise (I have it verticaly, but still)
That means you'll need a hugeass stepdown converter if you plan on importing one as a European. I know the one i use for my PS2 only goes up to 80 watts.
wow, after nearly 3 hours of playing it costs you a KWh...dunno about other countries, but a KWh is about 15cents (Euro) in germany...
