:cur_sonic: I bought this in taiwan,this is the real version,please see the pictures I believe this is the best game in China Other versions
Shameless plug - I have copies of this game in stock in case anyone is interested, except the supplier didn't give me cases to put them in. They did provide covers though so people could do it themselves with regular Sega cases. (^_^);
MAGE DRIVE CARTRIDGE Apparently there are people who, despite being paid for it, have a hard time remembering where to put A and where to put E in a world-known trademark. SYNO Playstotian NONTENDI Dumbasses.
Does your game have the '96 or '99 copyright? I found this to be a really enjoyable game, and probably the best non-RPG of the unlicensed 16-bit titles. It's really amazing to see all the assets that were copied, redrawn, or outright ripped from other titles. Knights of the Round, Street Fighter II, Forgotten Worlds, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, etc. My only big complaint is there is no grappling game, it's all just slashing. Almost all beat 'em ups feature some type of grapple system in the mix. Then again, the grappling didn't work out too well in Battle of Red Cliffs or Yang Warrior Family, so maybe it's a blessing in disguise.
On the other side it's funny. My favourite ones are "POCKET MAREO" and "SEDAA". Speaking of chinese original games and their reprints, someone knows what's the reprint of BBS it is? http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTh7w_yeOs1seJUgL8zlAVIBecZjwDYajm-ZvSkBT5GgcRjvUX0AgM8Qndp Right now normal version of this picture is not available because of the some fuckin' russian forum.
Hhahaha, I'm world famous. I made that cover! I still have the original Photoshop PSD file to prove it. Also, I took that picture :dance: IMO, my cover is far better than the original, design wise. Yakumo
I plan to sell Shui Hu Feng Yun at $19.99 per copy. These would be new carts, with inserts, but no pirate MD case (You'd have to supply your own case). I should have a sale thread with pictures for it soon. I've just been really busy with work these days. (^_^);
Put m,e down for one please. My current copy has died. The PCB looks fine as does the chip but nothing happens when booted. It did work at one point in time.
Perhaps the board got bent and the glop top is now broken. I'm curious why there is a glop top on the board at all, the game shouldn't need anything, I'm guessing it is protection related. But I think I have a ROM of this game, maybe that version is cracked.
FYI - I've posted this, and other Chinese Mega Drive games (ie. Yang Jia Jiang - aka Yang Family Warrior) for sale in the buy-and-sell forum. (^_^); http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37092
In the picture above, it shows a MaskROM IC but then there is a small black glop top to the left. If the real carts have this, that is a weakness as glop tops I've heard are far less durable when it comes to bending forces.
I finally made my own cartridge for the copy of Shui Hu Feng Yun Zhuan I bought from Trenton_net. Above you can see the cover art that came with the copy from Trenton_net and my own original cover. Yakumo
I had this game for approx. 1 year. i bought it with a box of about 60 other titles but never knew the name of it until i saw this post. It is indeed an excellent fighting game. My version of the game has the intel writable rom instead of the gloop. please take a look at the picture. It is defenately the same game as mentioned here and not the battle of red cliffs.
