Uhh did anyone else notice this in that auction posted earlier in the thread? "This item includes: Gamecube Orange Console" Hopefully a typo lol
Is this starlight gold? Or a really strangely faded Platinum? (Sorry for bumping a old thread, but for some reason I have a really hard time telling the difference of this gold in pictures.) Edit: Whups here are the pictures
Eh, I bit the bullet and gambled. Hopefully it's the right color. It has no box, controller, or manual, and it probably doesn't work, which might be just perfect for me. Clean it up and put it in the display case.
Ok good to know. When it arrives I'll try to post a picture next to my platinum GC to be sure. I don't think I've ever seen a compare picture online between platinum and starlight gold.
I forgot to post this earlier, but I think this photo would help people see the differences of the Nintendo "precious metal" colored consoles. From left to right: Platinum Gamecube, Starlight Gold Gamecube, Toys R Us Gold N64
Maybe it's just me, but I really don't like gold coloured consoles, I think they look kinda tacky. I don't know why manufacturers make them.
Well some goldish colors can look good, for example i like the color of the new gold "champagne" iPhones i thinks it's classy without being too "bling bling" but it's surely a matter of taste after all
