my original post was pointing out that a majority of these kids getting games probably got their parents to blindly buy it for them in the first place. This law sounds good and all, but its not like it'll do a damn thing.

All this is for is to give the impression that the governator is doing his job, which is to look out for his voting members. All it really does is help him win brownie points from the special interest groups that can actually put the guy in office for another 4 years come next election. He does plan on running for re-election. This is just to build potential voters.

I can understand the argument however I've never been a fan of blanket rules. There are plenty of kids that can handle this stuff just fine at a young age. All these laws do is put the retailer in the position of being the parent which isn't their job. Besides it's pointless anyways. If a kid wants something he'll get it. How many here snuck into an R rated movie when they were a kid? Or had a friend copy an M rated cassette or CD?

I can remeber the exact moment i began to turn away from violent games, turok for the N64. When you would shoot and blood would hit the wall behind them, LOL! that disturbed me for some reason.

Yea this is just another layer of red tape, arnie is prolly passing for votes at the next election, he has bigger fish to fry, he wants the white house, oh noes!!!
