I got really accustomed to the TI-83 version I used to play in class... haha!

At home... Hmm. Any version that has the down button bound to a faster drop instead of an instant drop.

I did a check I have 26 versions of tetris on my computer
One of my favorite versions is battle gaiden on the Super Famicom

Also on the SFC is Tetris 3. And after messing around with Tetris Grandmaster Challenge 2 I'm quite torn.

My friend has that :icon_bigg Pretty fun. I didn't spend enough time with it to figure out the whole magic system, though. I'm going to have to say it takes the back seat to Tetris Battle Gaiden, though.

A college buddy of mine told me about that game and I totally didn't believe him. It just sounded too outlandish. Later that same friend lent me his Super Wildcard and I searched around the net an found the ROM. Downloaded that pig to my Super Wildcard and was like "TEH WHAT?!!" It's real! And it rules! I've since imported probably 3 copies of it for myself and my friends :icon_bigg

I could swear I've owned this at some point, but don't recall caring for it, which is odd because I'm a huge tetris fan. Maybe I just didn't feel it offered much good/fresh.

On the topic of SFC Tetris games, make sure you play Bomblis or Bomblis/Tetris 2 (combo cart). Bomblis is so fun. You are still using tetris pieces, but there are little red bombs embedded in them and you can combine the little bombs to make bigger bombs. If you complete a line with a bomb in it, it will detonate, eliminiating all blocks in a certian radius (square?). If you complete a line without bombs it does not eliminate, it merely glazes over and adds power to the next explosion. Two player is probably my fave (against a friend, not the computer).

All time worst SFC Tetris game has got to be Tetris Flash. What were they thinking?

Magical Tetis Challenge is good and it throws pentominos into the mix but it's still clearly Tetris.....with Disney characters

My tetris of choice is Pokemon shock tetris for the pokemon mini handheld.

Creating tetris's to capture pokemon is a pretty fun pastime plus you can use the motion sensor to mirror flip the pieces which is unique to this version only.

I'm fighting between two choices: the original game boy tetris (I got so good at it that I made it to level 13 where the blocks fell at a very high speed) or the freeware macintosh game sirtet deluxe.

If we're getting into variants, the best is "Welltris" for the PC. It's a sort of 3-D Tetris where the pieces come down the four sides of a square well, and you can clear lines in any direction on the well floor.
