you mean to extract the gdi bins to a data files?? if yes here it is http://shenmuesubs.sourceforge.net/download/addons/Selfboot_DATA_Pack_v1.4_by_FamilyGuy.rar
this will extract the gdi to the data folder. just place all the gdi files to the root of this folder, and run gdi to data.bat. if you want to rebuild your custom gdi download the gdi builder from here http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/gdibuilder-tool-for-building-gdi-data-tracks.54765/
run it and the gdi builder will guide you how to rebuid it. if you have any questions just ask i will be here.

 

Family guy has done very good tools. But perhaps, there is something to get much better.
the 1.4 version pack gather wonderful programs. Are you looking for the subtitles problem carlos ?

Maybe the text is embeded directly in the image.

 

like @fafadou said its embeded. the file name is adv.afs. for example when i made francais and espanol versions i use the adv.afs from each version. example for francais the adv.afs is from france version. for spanish is from spanish version.

if you have already download the tools for converting gdis to cdi in this folder go to utilities open afs folder and is the afsutils_v2.exe is the one that extract the afs.

 

@carlos andre : in complement of truemaster, gdi2data is the tool that truemaster has letf for extract the files from the .gdi.

@truemaster1 : I suppose 1024*512 is the size of the picture ans 8bpp is maybe the downsample rate (8 times ?) and bpp the format; Except of the size I'am really not sure.

Please have a look to the readme.txt you find in selfbootdata file. It's a familyguy release, everything is explain. truemaster join it with this project in the first page.

@truemaster : in the version officialy release with the 1st_read.bin japanese for resident evil complete, the status menu when you push X during the game is in english or japanese ? Same question for the map menu.

I want to know if the kandji text are only in the documents and subtitles.

when you put all game files in the selfboot folder click gdi to data.bat this will extract all game files in the data folder.

I managed to selfbootdata program to open the files containing within ADV.AFS.
But I visualized 31 files without extension.
I found that most are voices of the game.
More I found some files containing some texts.
And some I could not open.
The files come from this File_1 way file_2 ... and goes to the file_31
Can you tell me what exactly is the images.
And most importantly after extracting as I can visualize the image files, as well as the yzb37859365 site member posted in an answer just above, with the image of what I'm looking for exactly that image he posted.
I've read the first posts your back there, I managed to extract the files, but i can not visualize to edit it.
Do you have any other program I need to use?
Do I have to put the File_1 file or other file to visualize power.
When I put the extension * * .adx most worked.
Less 6 files that do not know what it is.
