Rather than "all you need", you should aim for the best you can do. My brother works for a tv editing company in Manchester, UK. He did a media studies degree and is one of the few people that actually did one to a) have a job and b) have a job related to his degree.

 

The parcel turned up Wednesday and surprisingly, the postman did not ask for me signature; he just handed it to me and left. I wonder how common this is.

 

It's happened to me a few times recently too, with packages that were supposed to be signed for. Who knows.

 

I do, we just found that there were no specified requirements in the way of grades.

Thanks for your post. Definately helpful. The careers advisor couldn't find any real requirements. If you can help anymore (ie finding exact requirements from uni's so I can change it before its too late) Then i'd definately be thankful. I'll check UCAS as best I can.

I thought that too. BTEC IT takes up a shit tonnes of timetable I think which would be the reasoning. Thanks again Parris. No idea if the careers advisor is just shit but aparantly the software they use for finding uni requirements etc the school hasn't bothered to pay for :/

I've been editing video for years, - Various methods, As a child I had a small VHS camera, Using that and a multi VHS player setup I was ''editing'' If you could call it that I made my own films with figures (my hands were visible haha)and did story readings and even sometimes acted out sections - One man crew.

Then I got a computer and that was the end of all that shit. I definately aren't getting burnt out of it.

Edit: Situation with Media Studies/Uni requirements is all cleared up. I asked the guy who will be doing Media next year and he didn't even stall, just said Yes. Now I just have to write im interested in it at the bottom of my sixth form course choices and pray enough people also do so.

Atempted to open 545 bookmarked pages i have in one folder in chrome just to see how it coped and the result was as expected. Almost all my ram (4Gb) was getting used and my PC came to a crawl.

PS I've been basically pissed at all females because of what my mom did and i've given nice girls the cold shoulder because i haven't wanted anything to do with them. it's taken a while, but i'm finally done wasting time and letting my mom's choices influence/ruin my relationships/friendships/dating life.

I do not agree with Islamic extremism. I am not even a Muslim, or even close to it, but showing a lack of respect for 1/3 of the world's population is not a "brave" thing to do.

Actually, yeah, it's quite a big deal in Denmark, because it's done in commemoration of that cartoonist that was killed by islamic extremists because he drew Mohammed.

 

Kurt Westergaard is still alive and kicking. But one the 1. of January 2010 he was attacked by a Somali guy. And that guy got 9 years and a kick in the arse out of Denmark, when he has served the time for his crime.

 

I'd accept the drawings if they were in protest - but they aren't. The artists are allowed to draw the pictures in their country. The first instance proved this. It seems to me rather crass to continue with the drawings. And even more crass to create a day dedicated to it and dress it up as some form of protest.
