I fear them closing down is nothing but a reason for them to legally shred information linked to the hackings.

They will be open, business as usual with a new name shortly no doubt.

All the chavs that read it will be having to resort to The Sunday mirror, Mr Murdoch won't be having that.

Apparently, shortly after they announced they were closing 'News of the World' they registered the domain name of something like 'Sun on Sundays'.

No, according to today's Metro both the thesunonsunday.co.uk and thesunonsunday.com were registered before yesterdays announcement, the domain names being registered Tuesday, a full 2 days in advance.

All existing staff will be made redundant, given the opportunity to apply for jobs on the 'new' paper but be rehired on worthless contracts, a lower pay scale and no perks. If they don't like it well, they have two choices don't they like they did when the NoTW and The Sun moved from Fleet Street to Wapping, accept it or fuck off.

Robert Maxwell was a right cunt who plundered his staffs pension fund to fund an obscene lifestyle, Richard Desmond made his money selling wank mags and then denied ever having done anything of the sort and Rupert Murdoch dodges paying his taxes by offshoring everything. It's good to know that the British press is in safe hands...

Both Richard Desmond & Murdoch's papers are shite. The Sun was good for the football comic it had in there (My Grandad bought it) and after he passed and they got rid of the football comic we kept getting it on saturdays for the magazine it had. When that became crap we got rid of it all together It's always been shite though. Sensationalized bollocks that serves only to instigate.

FUCKYEAH! Our studio just cancelled a game project of ours, sad really.
On the bright side, I now have independent rights to the assets and the entire project!

Maybe I'm an insane conspiracy theorist, but I think that "News of the World" thing looks like a manufactured scandal to justify changing some laws about information access and obstruct the work of future Wikileaks-like organisations through legislation - and having the people accept the changes to law and even support them.

Or do I need some tinfoil to fashion myself a hat?

No, it's far from a manufactured scandal in the normal sense of the word, far too many 'normal' people have been involved and it's been going on for far too long for it to be contrived in any sense of the word.

As for the rushing through of legislation it's feasible but unlikely because as of late a few attempts at law change have come under close scrutiny and been found to be unlawful, especially in cases where civil or human rights are at stake.

I'll be posting screenshots when I can be bothered.

Can you take the assets, finish it yourself and get it published?

anyone else still use some really old software? I still use Paint Shop Pro 5 for quick pixel measurement because it loads in less than a second compared to waiting for photoshop to slog along

    Congrats, Master!

I know the feeling, and it's great. Now go sleep a lot and be generally indisciplined, at least for a while. You've earned it.

Think I just destroyed my minty model 2 Saturn. Was doing the 50/60hz mod and slipped when I got smoke in my eye.
