Lucozade + hardcore gaming + stopped cycling 30 miles a day made me fat. Bad combination IMO :p
BTW I never really had use of a PC at home until 2002 (K6-2 laptop with a smashed screen) and didn't have my own until 2003 when I was 19 years old :p I had to break my pelvis, learn to walk again then get paid out a pittance in compensation then have 2/3rds of it taken off me in fees to afford it :p

Selling a couple of fat kids a drink is less of a ballache IMO but still kudos on being a junior apprentice ;) Maybe you will be Bradistan's answer to Stewart Baggs the brand? :p

    Hmm. Lucozade original 380ml trade price = £13.99 for 24, plus VAT. That's 70p a unit.

Tesco sells them for 88p, ASDA for 78p.

You'll have to sell them at the ASDA price, so 8p profit per bottle.

Let's say your school's similar to mine - 7 years with approx 100 pupils per year i.e. 700 pupils. Let's assume 10% of them would like to purchase Lucozade (probably a high figure). Let's assume each of those 70 people do so twice a week (again, probably not). That's 140 units a week, or £11.20. Let's say £45 a month.

You sold them for months, not years. So, what, 3-6 months? Giving you a profit of £135-270.

What we're forgetting, though, is that Sainsbury's currently have an offer on Lucozade of £2 for a 6 pack. That's 34p a unit, which you can't match. Even their regular price is 60p, cheaper than your wholesale price. So noone's going to buy your Lucozade in the first place, because they can buy it cheaper... and you can't buy multipacks and split them.

So... WTF are you running? A ZX Spectrum?!

    retro you fag!

Black market/undeclared income I bet. He can split a multipack and not give a shit and charge a quid a bottle is what I'm guessing :p

They pay for convenience = hardcore easymode profit! Easier now junkfood is banned for sale from most school's vending machines and not out of place to carry a gym bag for ease of smuggling :p

Haha yeah. Its good money. I did it back when I was in year 7 too and that bought my first Xbox 360 and TV. Wish I'd always done it now. Stuart Baggs was actually my favourite until I found he was lying!
Yeah... Iceland sells them for like 2 for £1p and I resold for £1 each. I ofc wasn't declaring income. I used to carry a massive rucksack full (15-20 a day) and man that thing was heavy.

I liked my calc class, never missed a day, only fell asleep once (rough day), paid attention... still took me two tries to pass it (though the second time I basically aced it). I just could not understand some concepts for some reason. It was the first time anything like that had happened to me.

Oddly enough I was taking the calc-based physics class simultaneously (even though I shouldn't have been, yet) and passed that. Huh.

Just remember you CAN have physics without the math - ignore your lecturer if they claim otherwise :p Math is just one form of expression but there are others ;)

Another thing that really brings my piss to a boil is when OEM Manufacturers stop offering the drivers/don't have them. Im working on a Compaq Evo D510U and I've tried all the drivers its offers and I still can't get the internet to work on the machine.

Fixed: Compaq don't offer the right driver and won't link to it (Its on intels website)

That is easy. Look at the specs for that model. See what chipset or whatever the onboard device uses for the driver you need. Go to the chipset manufacturer's homepage. Enter part number. Download. Install. Pay me £50 consultancy fee. Job done :p

Also check TCP/IP settings, cables, NIC etc. and that you are not browsing as working offline :p

    Muahaha I rock, see? :p

Good God, that post was full of fail!

Technically speaking, Compaq aren't an OEM. They don't make the chipsets, and probably didn't make half their hardware themselves, either. Certainly the cast for most laptops.

Compaq is now owned by HP. Compaq won't give you ANY support - but HP will.

Are you talking about LAN drivers? Occasionally they're part of the chipset driver, but often you'll find a product can be supplied with one of several network cards / chipsets.

I see two driver downloads for Intel chipsets on the HP site:

Intel Gigabit Network Connection Drivers for Microsoft Windows XP

Intel PRO/1000 GT Drivers for All Operating Systems

And a chipset driver. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that HP have a comprehensive range of drivers available for download for that system, as always.

Oh, and if you're not running XP, they have them for NT4.0, 98, 2000, OS/2 or OS/2 Warp.

Neither of them worked. I had to hunt them down on the Intel website. But this is why I shouldn't work on computers late at night!

Since one of the moderators got some serious quick fingers, I am going to continue my former post.

Sir, here you can say shit, cunt motherfucker and tits in the appropriate context without any one taking notice. But if you say nigger in the wrong context, you are here by banned. Racism is something that is NOT looked upon with pretty eyes. Basically you can say the seven famous words, that George Carlin said, and you can even say his long list he said in a later show. This is NOT the KLT forum where people can be as homophobic as they want. As long they "try" to be funny. And there the admin does not like cursing at all, without asterisks . Which is a fucking joke. Also this forum, is not a forum which censors words with bleeps. We are after all, not any TV channel being broadcast from UK, and the shows are being shown in Denmark to ONLY Danish citizens in Denmark (Kanal 4, Kanal 5 and 6eren, and then the whole TV3 dynasty of crappy channels, which includes TV3 TV3+ and TV3 PULS)

Anyway sorry for going off topic. It is really about damn time WBC got what they deserved.

The girlfriend is moving to Washington DC tomorrow. Flight leaves at 10. I dropped her off at her house for the last time. Needless to say, it was way at the top of the list when it comes to "most difficult things I've ever had to do".

I tried to stay strong, which lasted until about halfway down her driveway.

I'm going to miss her more than anything. I just hope we can cross paths again. If I get the job I'm hoping to get, I'll have enough income to go visit the east cost this summer.

This may be meaningless and worthless to you right now, but sir, my thoughts are with you and I greatly feel your pain.
I don't know how to properly express my empathy, but let it be known that I send to you all the good vibes I can.

Here's hoping all things go as well as they can and life improves soon.

If she has any allergies or sinus issues, she'll want to leave DC by the end of the day. We've gone from 20 degree weather, up to 70+ and going back down to the 30's within a single week.

When will USA do like the rest of the world (except the superpower Jamaica ) and introduce the metric system and Celsius degrees?

Hmmm I remember a Mormon girl who said it was cold, and I asked her how "cold" it was. And she said "it is 68 degrees", and then I went to my F to C converter and it said "20 degrees Celsius", and I said to her . Damn girl 20 degrees Celsius is warm in comparison to the winter cold in Denmark. Anyway I kind of miss her. I just fucked it up as usual, which sucks. Suzanne you lovely and crazy Mormon girl, I am sorry that I fucked up, please forgive me.
