Well I guess we know now that the claim of a nuke somewhere in Europe detonating once they catch bin Laden is false. We all knew it anyway, did they have a nuke they'd use it any which way.

I'm sure they did a battery of tests on him, and I'm also sure there are photos and video of the body.

I imagine they want to let the news sink in before releasing that stuff.

No, but this does have a lot of symbolic meaning for the US, and it can't hurt Obama's PR department either.
Good riddance, I just really hope Dick Cheney is next in line to die.

If cannabis was legal here, I would fucking hit it up big time. But since it is not legal, I am not interested in it, even though I am a big supporter of legalising Cannabis, cause it does do more good than bad.

Interesting watching the footage of the White House. This could be Tripoli, Islamabad, Cairo or Baghdad, only the colour of the faces changes. Distasteful scenes and it's remarkable how similair the mob can be wherever they are. Be ferocious in battle, magnanimous in victory. No class.

If Obama said it, it must be true!

Weird. How can you be sure it's not a botnet version?

I went to look at a computer for a friend this afternoon that was supposedly virused up. The machine was practically brand new, still well within its Norton 360 trial, everything was running as should be. I checked and there was nothing bad on it. They asked "what about the virus?" I asked for more info.

My friend had run a scan of Superantispyware, which found a trojan dropper. This may have been a false positive - there's a weird Flash ActiveX thing on there that some AV software seems to report as a trojan dropper.

Anyway, how did this all come about? Some Indian company called him up and told him that he had viruses on his PC. He said they told him to press Windows+R (brings up the run dialog) then type their website. I forget the website, but it was 2 words in one and one of the words was bizarrely plural - you know, like broadbandings from Fonejacker? Apaprently, they ran some scan showing him infections on his PC and wanted him to sign up for one of their packages - the best being £105 for a whole year's anti-virus protection with support from them.

Basically, THIS IS A SCAM. It's no different from the bullshit "OMGz you has Spywarez LOLzz!!!!11 Purchase our softwares NAO!"-type adverts you get online, or the spyware that gives you a fake scanner that, guess what, says you have all sorts of nasties and $30 is all it takes to remove them!

Why is this in unmoderated, anyway? It would have been much better off in the computer forum.
