Same here boys. When my dad died, i remember walking with a small pocket knife in my hand, and I was practically waiting for a punk to come and try to mug me so I could inflict some pain and damage. I felt life had forsaken me, and gave me only pain....

Those feelings will pass. There is no positive conclusion to be drawn from the fact that your mother died... Just like there is no up side to the fact my dad passed away. Those things just happen... And sorry, but I don't believe things happen for a reason (of course there is a reason, probably down to a molecular level but not the kind of reason that will end up balancing the whole situation). Shit happens, and as it can happen to other people, this time it happened to you.

I too lost many friends, and several of them are angry at me because I refuse to go to their b-days or stuff like that. To me, they are only a reminder of how my life was when my dad was sick. It's not their fault, but it's not my fault either... It's just the way things are...

Stick to school, and maybe, try practicing some martial arts. I found that to be of great help in my anger management process.
That and scream therapy while alone in my home.

Also, I used to beat the shit out of a matress with a shinai. That helped a lot.

 

Thanks for the help everybody. Im really hoping it doesn't come to pills as I don't like the idea of something like that subduing me. I have a few friends like that, that I'll definately have to start conversing with more. Thanks alot.

 

Having been prescribed more than a few types of psychiatric substances, and being the son of a Pharmaceutical expert, should you choose pills - or should you be prescribed any, I will most certainly give you information.

LeGIt, you do realise how stupid this makes you? I PM'd you asking you to get on MSN, so that I could walk you through the exploit and you could alert Kevin, instead you ban my account for impersonating you? Grow up.

Did I impersonate you? No I didn't, I made a post on the "unmoderated thread" to prove a point.

Second, the account was spelt differently, notice the lowercase "i"?

Now I honestly don't see what you have against me to want to ban me for helping the forum out.

I posted the situation in the moderator forum but waiting for the others to come online to deal with it.

DaE whatever you may think you did, what am I supposed to make of it? The only IP address that appears to be problematic is yours, the other new users are all unique.

I didn't even see your message as a warning, did you consider that? All I saw was someone looking suspiciously like me, I banned them, searched for other users with the same IP and banned them too, which I probbaly caught you just after you posted (before I saw it)

If you can be banned you can be unbanned too though the temp ban system is a little broken, but from where I'm standng it is only you making extra accounts. If there is a wider problem I didn't know of it.

If I fucked up, I apologise. You have been a little bit of a headache on some issues in the past and hopefully you are beyond that now, but in the mean time you will just have to wait it out until the circumstances become apparent and the situation is resolved.

Yes, I'm sure we're both happy to move on from the past.

 

It may be more prudent in the future to make a warning account that isn't impersonating another user nor is the unmoderated thread the best place to warn the adminstration of an issue, but given as I didn't ban your account until after you posted with the impersonating account, why couldn't you have just posted the problem with your original account?

 

I didn't realise I was still logged in to it, since "DaE" is always signed in as "remember me", so its just a habit.

Also, apologies for not considering resolving this in an easier manner.

If your account is working fine then you would have had no need to crate an impersonating account?

I am just trying to get my head around what you're saying as it sounds like you made an impersonating account then slipped up. Not saying you did, it is just how I currently see the situation which if I must say is a little weird.

 

Oh, I was just testing to see if Kevin came across this exploit yet, I was just testing to see if it was possible to register an account, and when I did well, there was two of you.

Mind letting me use DaE and clear up all these posts? Or at least till Kevin steps in and gives a resolution to this?

As for unbanning your aaccount this is a possiblity. If anything was lost I cannot say.

As for testing of accounts, I'm sure you could have used something that was not my name with gigantocawk@*.* as the signup address as this adds to the suspicion.

As for clearing up these posts here, this will not be possible.

My post is up in the moderator forum. Once the other users have a gander they may say I did things wrong then fair enough. Ultimately you will have to wait for ASSEMbler to decide what to do from here, especially as only he can amend the database.

FYI I have had my status set to appear offline for some time I don't know how it affects other user's visibilty of me but I assume it means my actions are not known to other users. I did not post until after the impersonator appeared either.

I'm sure if you saw a doppleganger DaE posting you will be like WTF please get rid of them, especially if their signup address was gigantocawk@*.*!

Alas as I have stated, you will basically have to wait for ASSEMbler to unfuck this mess - I'm staying hands off before I/we do any more damage between us. There is always the possibility your account may not be possible to restore, in which case you have my apologies for the inconvenience caused though I would hope you understand the circumstances which lead to me taking such actions from my perspective.

Have you had a good cry since your mum passed away? The 'blokey' thing to do is bottle it up and try to stay strong in front of friends and family, and this can slowly eat away at you.

After my dad died, I tried to just get on with life. In reality, I felt like shit and was a crabby bastard. After a few months, I visited his grave and bawled my eyes out for what seemed like an hour, and that done me the world of good.

If you decide to get medication, it's worth asking your doc about counselling too. As you said, medication only subdues your emotions, but the underlying cause of the depression/anger will still be there.
