The world keeps going batshit insane

So.. last night I was waiting for a couple of friends to go get something to eat, and while I was on the street waiting, 6 guys came close and surrounded me, one putting a knife on my back, another one with an empty bottle of beer against my head threatening to break it on my head if I made a move... they took away some cash, my cellphone and my fuckin' ID.

As soon as they were leaving my buddies arrived, damn... anyway I did not get hurt which is the good part I guess. As for the stuff I lost I only care about all the contacts stored in my sim card but meh...

And I was damn angry for feeling impotent against 6 guys which looked rather weak and having practiced BJJ and K1 for almost 3 years now. I think that helped me to remain calm while under the pressure of these guys cause I didn't feel scared at all, and could think about possible escapes but all seemed rather blurry.. and when they put the knife against my back it was clear I didn't have to try any heroic stupidity.

Wow, that's crazy. Sadly, knife crime is on the increase in the UK. I know someone who got stabbed locally and there have been other knife-related crimes around here and nationwide.

Glad to hear you're OK! As for the contacts, I would suggest investing in a SIM card backup device. You can get small, cheap ones that store the info on themselves. That, or have a phone with a PC communication via a cable / bluetooth and some software.

 

Right before I saw this thread I was learning how to Flip butterfly knifes, Life is fucking strange lol.

 

We used to just carve our names on park benches and trees, or whittle sticks to points with Swiss Army knives when when we were kids. How things have changed!
