In fact, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and I knew it. I think the last time I had a trouble like this was about 10 years ago... However, most of the times it's just a matter of luck.
Isn't there high crime in most of South America? I hear Brazil is especally bad and more so if you're a tourist.
i heard brazil has the highest rate of killed people per hour in world. but that was 15 years ago, when i heard that.
None of the crap they took is worth your life. You only take action in a situation like that if they are still bothering you AFTER they have what they asked for. Then they are likely looking to hurt you.
Thanks guys, you're right I know the stuff they took wasn't worth getting into more trouble, that's why I didn't take any action at the moment. Unfortunately crime is increasing here, though still most of the time we know which places are safe or not.. anyway I was half block from a very crowded and safe place but what the heck.. :banghead: Another thing is considering it's a small city, you can always run twice with the same person.. something similar happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago, he was being robbed by just one guy and he beat the crap out of him, and two days later he ran across the mugger again but this time the guy was with 2 other dudes and things got quite nasty, luckily my friend could escape, but it wasn't any fun for him (ended up in the hospital). But I can clearly see the difference with the states for example, I've lived in Miami for half a year and in other cities for a couple of months and the feeling of security is completely different (of course as long as you know where you should or shouldn't be at a given hour). Once I ended up in downtown Miami late at night and it can get pretty scary :noooo: Every time I get back here after being for 2 or 3 months in USA, I get that feeling of insecurity in the streets back which is really annoying, you have to be cautious all the time.
most of the crime acts here are committed by teenagers or young adults, which i belong to, too but since i'm big and not too skinny they try to avoid me and looks for weaker persons, if they don't i'll start to defend myself, but i luckily never had the situation of somebody having a knife...
Dude, you only needed to execute a Tatsumaki-Senpū kyaku and you could have killed all 6 guys. Nevermind. In the end, karma will catch up with them. Sorry you lost your stuff.
Wow. Sorry to hear that. Getting mugged is not a good t hing and things can get out of hand real quick. Count your blessings that you're still alive.
Sorry to hear that.......but first things first....you are OK........at the end of the day I would sooner be breathing than worrying about a mobile or ID or some cash Knife crime is becoming rife in the UK and wait for the flaming....most of it on the back of the ghetto / rap culture.......all about image / respect Also they have to do it in groups..............some years ago I had an instance where some kids came up to me and started getting lippy and wanting stuff from me...........so I was a little fitter , thinner then and could handle myself. So I said to them........................I would take you all on, but one at a time............if we find somewhere that I know only 2 of us can go in....ie lock the door / gate then lets go for it.................and do you know what, they all buggered off......................don`t know if I would do it now as you don`t know what stuff they have hidden away........all in the name of respect. Earn fucking respect......not because your knife is bigger than mine. In some instances, let them all kill each other.......but keep it in their own world.............leave poor un-suspecting joe public out of it!!
