Some GamePlanet stores were doing this in Mexico, but not all of them. You could get the Premium bundle and two games for 3700 pesos, roughly 355 dollars. No idea whether it's related or not, but it is what allowed me to afford one.
That's cool. Usually, game stuff is priced higher in Mexico to compensate for the inability to sell to a wide market. (That is, products are sold at a higher price to break even due to lower purchase count.).... Wait, am I spouting B.S. or is that really true? I thought I heard someone say that...
Dunno but as far as I know, south america (mexico is still north btw) prices are skyhigh due to old&dumb protectionist practices, like high custom taxes and such. They (governments in those countries) believe that that way companies will decide to manufacture the product in the coutry ratter than import it. Whoever the smuck who wrote those tax law was, he didnt know shit about economics...
