From Gizmodo: Basically, $50-70 price cuts are expected on all three Xbox 360 models. Wedbush Morgan-analyst Michael Pachter predicts the Elite will drop from $479 to $399, the Premium from $399 to $349, and the Core from $299 to $249. who would buy a core? a 360 without an HDD is crippled. It will break down as well at some point, considering that they ll probably never upgrade the manufacturing process of the lower end models
Looks like a dev unit to me. All 4 units have HDD in them which throws out the theory there is a core and a premium unit up there.
It seems more illogical to keep 2 production lines actually. If you can get the hd cabls for cheap and a memorycard too then the core isnt too bad. I personally dont need a hard drive. Sony should sell their console without a harddrive too and make it another 100 cheaper. Not that i'll even consider getting a PS3, with me being european and dont want to get buttf**ked by Sony and all that...
That'd be nice if the price drops before Friday. That's when I get paid and I'm planning on picking up an Elite (if there's any in stock!!).
As soon as the "new" batch of Elites without the heating problem come out, I'll seriously consider purchasing one.

It's sort of another SKU - as it's like a Premium with the 20GB HDD but has HDMI output like an Elite -- sort of like an in betweener. It's ugly as shit though, and you'll never see it in my living room.
I don't think the green box is ugly, I like it..! well I would like it more if it didn't have HALO written on it but ok... Though I don't want another 360 until they solve the heating and noise problems.
Man, I already have an Elite but I'd love to get my hands on that Halo 360...would look great next to my original Halo Edition Xbox console!
