Wait till you guys see what sony's cooking up. Specialy since it's ps2/3 compatible. FYI, i am speaking of rumors (its real).
I'd say that the 3rd party games are better than Nintendo's games. They make far too much family shit here in Japan. 90% of my Wii games are 3rd party and all great. Probably the only Nintendo games to bother with would be Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Metroid and err...... More Mario Kart. There are loads of great games on the Wii, more than the PS3 for sure or at least in Japan anyway. Yakumo
Metroid has two huge flaws: 1) the cinematics feel cheap and disjointed + the explosions etc are a joke 2) having to scan some things is fun. Having to scan everything is tedious!!!!
Tell me, I can keep a secret (*prepares to run to the street and tell everyone about it*);-) The new production increases are in and already depleted, and Nintendo wont increase it again unless theres a serious shortage. Unless they would risk having too much Wii stock, at which point units would stay in the shelf unsold and would force Nintendo to cut the price (since once a console doesnt sells for its original MSRP anymore is becos the initial hype is gone). MS has a big oportunity here, but not as big as how the RLOD is eating away any reputation they managed to create with the X360. IMO they should fix RLODs, then release this new controller. Party games are a dime a dozen, they could take advantage of their XNA eviroment and get thousands of flash game developers to port their games to XBLA. But if you ask me, I think the driving force behind this controller will be the FPS, TPS and racing games, which all benefit from the motion control and IR (if its has IR)
True, but I'm guessing that as big of a company MS is, they probably don't have the RROD crew also in charge of making new controllers...
Of couse not, but the guys in charge of releasing big stuff like this are basically the same that have the final word on how the address the RLOD issue. I think they believe that as far as the user gets its X360 replaced indefinitely the whole thing wont turn into a scandal, and that the hype surrounding the console and its games will not decay due to this. Obviously they have their heads up their asses, 'cause a lot of gamers (myself included) are now thinking about getting a PS3 because they are sick of hearing about X360's problems, and its no longer so friggin expensive.
Yeah, unfortunatly. I don't even know how many times I've said "they fix it for free, it's okay." I think I'm done saying that, after my third. It really is bullshit. However, I'm pretty sure the update killed my third one, not hardware.
I think everyone jumping on Nintendo's bandwagon is ridiculous. But then again, Microsoft is showing time and time again that, while they did a great job with the Xbox360 early on, they now have no f'ing clue what they're doing.
lol This thread makes me think of that photoshop saying Sony was going to copy the Wiimote from waaaay back. Anyways, if Microsoft doesn't get sued, I'd like to see how this new controller works, if its even real.
Do you remember the video of the ps3 where the guy was playing war hawk. That was ridiculous. But i would welcome some Wii mote action xbox 360 but because it would be fun and needed from m$ to make this. I believe it would open a new type of live gaming and casual games but they will do what they will. Nintendo Smart: ps3 copy everything everyone else is doing and mS tring to be to cool for school.
