Quite recently sold my SNES collection consisting of 4 complete SNES's w/2 pads each, 2 Super Magicoms, 20 games (zelda, Mario, Bomberman 1,2,3 etc) for £40 in order to buy my son some new PS3 games - instantly regretted it :concern:

long time ago when I wanted a Playstation 1 I sold all my old consoles except for my Saturn, this included the following:

    Master System + games
Mega Drive + CD + games
    Atari Jaguar + games

I eventually bought them all back and then some but for a long time I really regretted getting rid of my MD and MS, both were my first true consoles that I owned for myself and didn't just borrow from my brother or dad back in the early 90's lol

I had every Mario Party game except one, and I sold them all. Boy I miss spending a couple of hours just playing some Mario Party in the summer. Good Times, Good Times.

Sold my boxed Goldeneye 64 + Gameshark for some shitty Gameboy games. I haven't purchased another Goldeneye cartridge since... I think it's because I feel attached to the one I knew and loved so dearly, and I would never forgive myself for replacing it with another one.

Maybe I'll track down the guy I sold it to someday and finally bring it home after all these years.

Once got a CIB Virtual Boy with a handful of games in Japan for a ridiculously low price and sold it right away as I had no interest in it at that time. Now I wish I had at least invested in a couple of batteries and played the games a little bit.

My childhood Atari 2600, 5200, 7800 & Colecovision (for an NES and SMS). My adult complete Turbografx collection (for a 3DO). Sega CD Snatcher - just being stupid.

My boxed Virtual Boy that I bought at a department store for less than $50 when they were getting rid of them. I'm not willing to pay $200+ for something I'll only use for Wario.

    factory sealed burning rangers
    factory sealed NCAA 2k3 game
    some robotech/macross toys.

I regret selling my NES and Snes, games and accessories all boxed, because I needed the money. Now I know I never gonna get back everything like I had it. I yet dont even have an NES because I want it boxed with the power pad like the one I sold.

Things I regret to have sold. My Sega Nomad. My Sega Saturn. My first Sega Dreamcast (had VGA box, keyboard). And maybe my Dreamcast Dev Kit (picked it up for $10, sold it for $400). I did like my Sega Master System with the 3D Glasses, sort of miss that.

I'm not just a Sega fan, it's just i seem to regret getting rid of those systems more then any others. Which I didn't even know until I listed them. =)

Except for the battery usage, the Sega Nomad was a killer handheld device at it's time. Now of course I got a Dingo A320 that covers most my hankering for old games.

I regret selling my Intellevision console(which I found in our take-it or leave-it bin at the dump(and it still worked)). It had like 30 games for it, had all the manuals and controller overlays, and had a promotional booklet talking about the amazing features of the Intellevision. But then I got stupid and sold it at a pawn shop for a measily $80.

I found that when the woman went, it wasn't as much fun having a load of boxes. So I'm selling a load of my collection and it can't go soon enough. But my collection is random, with things I'm not attached to at all and I have a lot of multiples that I don't need.

Nothing is fetching top dollar right now, but I could do with the space & money now.

2 things; 1 - bought House of the Dead + Gun for Sega Saturn as the shop ran out of Panzer Dragon Saga copies (and both not only waiting but not buying Shining Force 3)
2 - Traded in numerous Sega Saturn rare games (including house of dead + gun) for Fighters Megamix

    Life lesson learnt.

I regret selling my Game Gear (+Cool Spot, Dragon Crystal and Colums) for ~15€ back in the day.
Not as bad, as all the stuff I lent to my "friends" and everything magically disappeared, though. Like ~20 Game Boy games. Not some flea market stuff, but games, where I know exactly when, where and who bought it for me. I'm still pissed, when I think about it. >_<

That would be worth a couple hundred quid, could even be £300 depending on what the games were. dam why wasn't I the guy who bought that off you :(

    £40, dam.

EDIT so as to not double post. I don't feel too bad about selling my near mint complete in box PAL Banjo Tooie after reading the stories in this thread it seems like we all have remorse over something video game related thanks for the closure guys :)

it will be mine oh yes, IT WILL BE MINE. I'll find that game again somewhere...

I remember 2 of my friends sold off all their video games.

when one was starting to not care about video games I bought mario tennis and a seethrough gameboy color from him but he had mario's time machine PAL version.

I don't know what else but gameboy, SNES, n64, this was about a decade ago and I remember him saying that he barely got anything for them like a couple of quid each, i think he got under a tenner for Zelda.

Another friend of mine I'm sure sold his SNES games, N64 games which included paper mario, mario party conkers bad fur day.

How were we supposed to know these things would be so rare and expensive?!?!?!
