Man i have sold much of my collection over the past 10 years, some due to hard times. Had a job but really didn't pay much and when i got hurt 6 years ago i sold off most of my RPGs for the Psone. Lunar Boxset, Lunar 2 boxset sealed, Arc the Lad Boxset sealed, Vandal hearts, Vandal Hearts 2, Persona, Persona 2 and much more.
I regret selling or trading all kinds of - now rare and expensive - SNES carts, Chrono Trigger, FF6, Earthbound (along with that amazing guide) , Terranigma. I also regret... throwing many games to the garbage bin:banghead::banghead:
Seems like we can all agree that selling games back to a store (EB, GameStop, etc) was a good life lesson for us all. Now all we need to do educate the younger generation not to be sucked into their rip off scam again.
Had a mint vectrex with like 4 games and the screen overlays, sold it to fund a drink and weed session.. how daft.. Was like over 10 years ago, and ive seen these go for silly money.
I wonder if someone has my original GB Color. If anyone has a Teal GB Color with the name Michael DiBenedetto on the top, please let me know lol. It's probably still somewhere on Long Island or even in the city. Anyway, I regret selling basically all my consoles over the years (SNES,PS1,N64,Xbox). More recently I regret selling my DS for Gears of War (I still feel like an ass). I sold a Vader 2600 and a couple boxed games that I got for free for $30. Basically that's all I can think of.
I regret selling my Dreamcast. I know I can always replace it, but I'm just too lazy to get another one. I've had an itch to play some DC lately, and now I can't play it because I sold it. ;_; I also regret selling my N64 console and like 30 games for it.. I miss my N64, I'm looking to get a new one though so I can be prepared for that n64 cart marshall is working on
Hyper Duel. After the announcement of Thunder Force VI, I was afraid Sega was going to do what Sega does and start whoring out everything in Tecno Soft's back catalogue. So I went and sold Hyper Duel ASAP so I could get some decent money with it, with the intent of getting it again cheaper once Sega inevitably released it in some compilation. Of course, Thunder Force VI sucked and failed (thankfully) and so I don't think Hyper Duel is getting ported anytime soon. This is unfortunate in a way, n that now I gotta pay $200 or so to get another mint copy. :crying:
I regret selling all of my laser disc game discs. While I did make a mint, they seem to have continued to increase in value.
I regretted selling my SCPH-7502 PS1 with cheat cartridge a long time... but I recently bought a modded damn-near mint SCPH-1002 so I'm satisfied.
Well, I didnt sell it, but I regret losing my Near Mint copy of SMB3. I know its not worth diddly squat, but I luved playing that game
You know, you could try and add something decent to a thread for once. I'm getting increasingly tired of your 'class clown' posts in every godforsaken topic, especially considering your age. Get over yourself.
I read "Vandal Hearts" on this thread and indeed, it made me a bit sad. One of my first, and favourite, PSX games... but I had to sell it or I wouldn't have been able to obtain FF8 at launch. Worth it? I don't know today, but back in the day it was. Now, I wish I had (rare) Vandal Hearts instead of (super common) FF8
Didn't sell but traded a complete PAL Dreamcast collection for a JAP NDS when they were launched. I was bored with the DC and fancied something new and exciting, 2 hours on Mario 64 DS and I realised what I'd done.
I'm kicking myself over selling my Wii now that Xenoblade is out in the east. It looks as though I'm going to have to buy myself another one. I'm definitely opting for a glossy black!
My copy of Resident Evil 2: DualShock Edition The 2nd Disc didn't work at all and I had already beat the game as Leon. This was back in 2006 I believe and I was stupid enough not to think about getting the disc resurfaced. Now I'd have to pay out the ass for one of these which go for $30 to $45 locally.
Sorry to say, but $30 - $40 is really not that much for a game that you like. Especially since thats cheaper than the original sale price. I regret selling my boxed copy of Super Metroid for $5 to a local gamestore. I don't know what the hell I was thinking back then. I also regret having a brother who decided to sell the Sega Dreamcast with all of the fantastic titles we had, Powerstone 1+2, Chu Chu Rocket, Resident Evil 2 and Veronica, Beserker, Shadow Man, Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventures, House of the dead and gun, Rez, MDK2, THPS2, Jet Grind Radio, MVC2... so later when he finally admitted to it, I asked how much money he got for all of it... "Around $60"... Thats with 2 cute VMU's as well. :crying: ALSO : Any "Desperate" Trade-in with Gstop (EB games) Quick Q, I know EB Games were called "babbages" in other states, were these also converted to Gamestops?
