His collection is definitely pretty great, no doubt about that. But he is boasting like an ass all throughout the video so some haterade had to be expected :p I prefer if people stay humble even if they have crazy collections. He says he has the "biggest collection in the world" but I think Adol's collection is bigger (except for the arcade games) and for all we know there are some Japanese guys with warehouses full of games... or some Sheikh who has twice as much. Someone claiming "I have the biggest" is always something that makes me cringe.

Also he just says "uh yeah I have all Saturn games" - but does he have all the demos? I highly doubt it. Furthermore, many of his Saturn games seem to be in average condition (no spinecards probably?) and I see hardly any boxsets there, but some of these are really hard to get and make the collection special. Also, does he have Denpa Shounen Teki Game 2? Yuukyuu Gensoukyoku regular edition? All Koei Premium Packages? Those are bitches to find and I don't see any of them there.
He must have a lot of money, so why not just buy stuff in perfect condition for a couple extra $$$? If I could afford 1000 arcade PCB's and sportscars and a house to put all that stuff in, I'd definitely not settle with some shitty sunbleached Saturn games just to get the complete set quickly.

    - Metal Slug JPN does NOT cost $5,000, EVER. He's bullshitting for the camera.
    - There were more than 3 copies of Tetris produced and it never sold for $800,000 on ebay. Again, showing off + bullshitting.
    - "Watch the Ferrari" :p

Nothing nicer than people who use every opportunity to point out how much money they have in front of other people.

This aside, it's a great collection and yes, I'm envious of his sportscars and the other stuff. Of his ego and taste in clothes - not so much :p

I agree. He might have a good collection, but in terms of total completeness and condition, Adol's is still the best (assuming he still has it).

    Guess what?

There is a picture online, to the best of my memory ONE PICTURE and ONE TEXT INTERVIEW
of a man who's game collection is so huge I mistook it for a library, no joke.

That man is humble and gets my utmost respect.

No Mr. Ferrari you don't have the biggest game collection in the world, you just have a large one which
    people know about.

Nobody can claim to be the best anything in the world, there is always someone better than you, that is what makes us human and in most cases, allows us to better ourselves.

EDIT: there's actually a few pictures organised as a slideshow on a Youtube video, cookie for anyone who can find me the video.

But there is a guy who owns a video game store who has a safe full of sealed atari 2600 games which has never been sold at auction before, close enough xD :p

There is a video of someone on Youtube with every Nintendo game ever made (sic)

    all loose carts........

that sounds impossible there is so many NES ,Famicom, Super Nes ,Nintendo 64, N64 DD ,Super Famicom , Famicom disk,Virtual boy ,Pokemon mini and lets not forget the thousands of Gb,Gbc and Gba carts and any other cart based systems Nintendo has thats gotta be around 15 -20 thousand carts ? maybe more

found it i guess the handhelds are far too big a challenge due to how many carts you would get

lol i agree with you, this post and your last post.

I guess he isn't clear, he means every console nintendo game, US. I assume.

EDIT: he also lists what year they range from. And yeh collecting every gameboy game would be impossible, plus if he had every nintendo game up to 2012 it would include all DS games too.

but i like that he only collects the classics.

Hey here is the guy who has the safe with all the sealed games

EDIT: out of all the collections I've seen this guy's might be #1

It's really hard to compare because every collector focuses on something. There are VERY rare US Atari games, but there are also VERY rare Japanese games. Few collectors fancy both and have both. The true "biggest" collection would have to contain all regions. And doing this is an almost impossible challenge for one person only because it requires very good contacts on each continent and amazing knowledge and probably a loooong history of active collecting. I've yet to see someone who tried to collect ALL games for ALL regions and ALL consoles and kinda succeeded.

Well all I know is that the guy in the video game shop has the most complete collection ive ever seen

    every atari game (almost)

    almost fullset of ps1
    almost full nes
    almost full SNES
    every n64
    almost full megadrive
    every colecovision

    can't remember what else.

but the guy who won't name himself, im sure he has the biggest he just won't come out of the shadows.

These collections make me a cringe. At one point during the ausie's video, I thought to myself what was the point of collecting if others can just tap into a virtually limitless bank account. Then again, I'm not collecting to compete :very_drunk:

true that i wonder if anyone will exceed in collecting all the DS and DSI games

true fact thats what stops me going from complete collections instead i just go for what intrest me on each system provided its within my funds limit of course :)
yep definitely impossible without the sources and MONEY which is what i don't have so i won't try some games like Air raid Atari 2600 i will never ever see cause i could never afford it :p see here for current auction > http://www.gamegavel.com/item.cgi?show_item=0000687017 < in my dreams:sorrow:

Unless when you say "almost fullset" you mean for all territories, I'd still bet some good money Adol has a bigger and better (quality wise) collection. He has full sets of so many Japanese consoles and in many cases they are sealed. And when he says he has a full set, he includes pretty much everything. Every reprint, every variant, the whole sha-bang. Even if it means having 10 copies of the same game. In addition, he said he buys multiple reprints of the same title just to ensure he gets one in the mintiest condition. That's crazy good attention to detail.

hmm well ok NTSC fullset original.

    ammended.

And I doubt it dude, the guy has been doing box upgrades for 20 years, that's as good as it gets condition wise.

getting every game is pointless, you'd end up with like 10,000 sports titles.

People who go for complete sets are wasting serious money but it's up to them.

    DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S BULLSHIT?

On ebay a few years ago a guy was selling an Atari 2600 joblot, I was like 15-16 at the time and had no money, he said it included air raid, i had no fucking idea at the time....

well 2 things, one is could have been fake also it could have been for a different region? who knows but the joblot was cheap, he even linked to a page showing how rare air raid is, so maybe he was pulling someone's leg to sell his games.

These are all great collections, but why are NONE of them documented?
What I'm trying to do is document most XBOX stuff I can find, so it's more interesting for those who would like to follow my collection (if I ever become successful)...

When ever it's obscure stuff, that's where it get's interesting :).

It also helps other collectors too by documenting.

Any Australian member tried to reach the guy? It would be cool to ask him here some questions regarding his collection etc.
