I was thinking about Last Gamer earlier today and wondered whether he's actually making a very solid investment or not?

Would any collectors care to chime in and say if they think in, let's say 20 years from now, if his collection will be worth a lot more than he paid for it?

 

99.8% of the stuff he has was sold at the retail level so rarity in his collection is exactly that, rare. It's his money and also his hobby so I don't think he did it purely as an investment.

 

I don't know... he seems to have made his fortune on the stock market, maybe he did the maths and figured video games are a safer bet than Wall St? In 20 years from now even the 'junk' of today that's filling up a fair amount of those shelves will be worth more, possibly a lot more. It could be an investment bank funding him? (file under conspiracy theories, case file 139)

 

Is it really necessary to keep posting every video he uploads? People can subscribe to his YouTube channel you know..

Considering this is the rare and obscure section, I wonder why the videos posted aren't just of the, you know, rare and obscure stuff.

Joel used to have a lot more videos on his channel, but when he relaunched his channel as more a gaming show instead of a blog he removed all the old videos. He is slowly adding the old videos back thanks to people kept asking him to put them back. He is calling them Re-Vault
