But it seems to have disappeared, so this will do When people are asked to link to big images, what is classed as big. 800x600? 1024x768? Just asking to clarify, I don't want to be doing anything naughty now!
Yep, mines on 1280 by 1024, and I have a custom retro ASSEMbler theme on my pc. Sadly enough, huge ass pics STILL make paragraphs on 1 or 2 lines. >_<
Anything that pisses me off on my screen gets modded. (Im on 1680x1050). Also anything that changes the layout of a page gets a mod too. Dont worry about it too much just remember some people have slow slow computers and also low resolution monitors.
Did you say lay-out? ^_^ Sorry, couldnt resist. I found it in some old files on my pc. Dont know how long I had it, either.
I thought it was hilarious so I saved it (I guess). It must have been a LOOOOONG time ago, and was burned on a cd about a year ago.
What the hell are you doing with pics of Ron Jeremy in a fucking Mario costume? That is wrong beyond belief. "Hey, a baby, how 'bout you check out my magic mushroom? It goes POW too!
I hate to admit it, but I'VE got another shot of Ron Jeremy in that Mario getup as well. It was ironic, really - my girlfriend and I were playing Super Mario World and I remarked offhand that I thought Mario looked like Ron Jeremy. A few days later, I'm on Google images searching for Mario pics for some smartass picture I was going to make, and the rest is history. The one I have is fully clothed as well, but I'd really be scared to see where that photo shoot ended up... As far as image sizes, I'd suggest 640x480 as the max for posting on the board - you can link to higher, if you want to. With as wide as the columns with peoples' names and avatars are, anything over 640x480 on a 1024x768 monitor forces the user to have to use the horizontal scroll bar, and everyone hates that - especially when it makes text wrapping crap out.
720x<whatever> should be OK as well when viewed at 1024x768 - which will be good for screen captures as full D1 video resolutions are 720x576 ("PAL") and 720x480 ("NTSC").
I have a 21 inch at work, with that same resolution. I don't recall ever having to scroll, but I could be wrong.
