Billy Mitchell primo joystick dude Amazing in the maze, he ain't gonna lose. Blue man in the corridor singing the blues. A perfect game goes down. . . Billy's on the moooove
I actually met Billy Mitchell a few years back at the Midwest Gaming Classic. He seemed like a pretty nice guy, and he is really, really, really good at Donkey Kong. Didn't get to talk to him much but he didn't seem like a douche. I also got to spend some time talking with Walter Day of Twin Galaxies. He had lots of interesting stories, although, I don't remember anything specific. Could have been the fact that it was at the after party or something.
Where was that? I met Billy & Walter Day at a Twin Galaxies event at the Mall of America in 2001. Can't remember the name of the event, though. I agree, he didn't seem like a jerk, just a dude with a mullet. I got him to autograph my copy of Pac-Man for NeoGeo Pocket Color. He didn't know what a NGPC was
I love that movie. I'm pretty sure the guy can't be like he was represented in the movie. There's no way a person is actually like that, seriously. I like playing Ms. Pacman on the old arcade machines with the speed up, but old games like that, I have to admire people who can actually pull them off, same with any kind of competitive gaming, but good god.
