I did, and if that's bloomkamp's (D9 guy) work, they better greenlight his budget for a halo movie, RFN! On a side note, while there has been a handful of games were the intro was much better than THE ACTUAL game, this is the first time ever that the ad itself managed to surpass the game:lol:
after seeing many less than favourable reviews about it, i too was a little tentative about buying it. but i eventually did and am very glad i did. the campaign, while quite short, is very engrossing. it draws you in wanting to unravel the mystery and find out what happened to your squad. the feeling of isolation and lonely vunerability in the moonlight streets of new mombasa is much different to the usual walking tank feeling of the master chief. once again, the soundtrack provides excellent settings to each location and level. firefight will keep you occupied for quite a while if you enjoy it and can get non-morons to play with, but i do also agree that no matchmaking for it was a bit daft. the mythic multiplayer disc is a very sweet added bonus especially for those of us who had not got the mythic maps yet (which also made the package better value for money as the maps are 800 microsoft monies). and finally, the inclusion of the halo reach beta is something very sweet to look forward to next year. all in all an awesome package. but having said all that, i am a bit of a halo freak. and yeah, the live action ad for it was unbelievably awesome. haha
I didn't like it. I was hoping I would, my son even convinced me that it was better than Halo, due mainly to the fact that you get a damn near regular pistol. But upon firing it up it still had the usual shitty Halo game play problems such as knocking you out of cover if you get hit whilst in sight's, thus causing you to stand up, even though you are in crouch mode! Very annoying to someone that enjoys game play that flows.
Lol, I did have toggle crouch enabled, but it doesn't make any difference, thats my point, when I choose to crouch, I want to stay crouched, not jump up, when I get a minor hit.
