I didnt even know that this game was out! Put around 10 bucks into it, didnt beat it though :\ A dollar each play is rough. Great game, with some awesome helicopter segments, and multiscreen environments, which made it great. I want it at home dammit. Pictures taken on my phone, Seaside Heights NJ Boardwalk.
I hope at least one of the next-next-gen consoles supports real lightgun games (the Wii doesn't count until I see the lightgun attachment).
If you think a buck a play is bad, try paying a 1.50 to play outdated games such as Hydro Thunder, 18 Wheeler, and Gunblade NY at my local arcade. I've seen them charging 2 to 5 dollars a play for some of the newest games. No wonder the place is pretty much dead everytime I visit there... How I miss the day's of quarters *sigh*
Yeah, It's been out here for a few months now. Never really bothered to play it though. I may start since you seem to like it Yakumo
Ive seen it at a few arcades around, but never really bother much myself either.Btw not to go much off topic, but i was watching the tutorial video of how to use virtua fighter 5 machine that was posted on kiziko, and was amazed how massive it was. I was especially shocked at the touch screen adn ablility to watch you matches online. So i was wondering how much yen a play that thing is??? Its gotta be pretty damn expensive.
It's amazing what a bit more RAM allows. I didn't realise that Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection got an arcade release! http://www.system16.com/hardware.php?id=546&gid=1403#1403
Nothing beats The House of The Dead 4 attraction in Sega Joypolis, Odaiba though. Expensive, but cool nonetheless.
For as long as I can remember (well, from 1994 onwards), it seems that every time Namco releases either a new Tekken or Time Crisis there's a response from Sega in the form of Virtua Fighter and Virtua Cop sequels respectively. VC4 is definitely long overdue in my opinion, but not if it's anything like the previous installment... We already know that Tekken 6 will be the first game of that series to be produced with HD graphics, though what about Time Crisis 5 - or is it still far too early to be thinking about that yet? Virtua Fighter has already entered the HD era, so why not Virtua Cop as well?
Well originally it was Namco that copied everything Sega did. At one point however Namco released a version of Time Crisis and Tekken that left Sega playing catch up. Still, no matter how hard they try Time Crisis will never be a Virtua Cop beater (Still a great game though) and Tekken.... well.... need I say anything? Yakumo
Ive never gotten into Virtua Cop that much, just never had the right feel for me. Still a fun game though
I just want to know what the hell they were thinking with Lethal Enforcers 3. The idea of a Time Crisis style riot shield to hide behind is nice, but I don't think that they could have screwed it's implementation up any more than they did.
I actually prefer Time Crisis to Virtua Cop (the first iterations, not sequels). The foot pedal just added so much to the game and I liked the faster pacing. I just wish it didn't have that weirdo in the leather jacket!
I honestly dont see how part 3 even can relate to the old ones. In fact it never made sense why part 2 took place in the old west.
