I'm hoping this is pretty near complete I wish you the best of luck trying to get this to boot with Dreamcast hardware.

 

Playing it first time on xbox, I noticed that Earl has Dreamcast tattoo on his back, sweet

 

Commented on the video as well but I would definitely be interested in donating if you can release a workable copy. Keep up the good work!

At the moment a friend of FamilyGuy is working on it to make it bootable on retail dreamcasts.
For donating however, I need permission from the site admin (ASSEMbler) for starting an fundraising campaign, I've sent him an PM last sunday, no response received yet (and he is active on the forums as his last login was 9 hours ago (from this point in time)).

 

Do you reckon we could get a limited disc pressed version once it's working / donated for?

 

Don't know yet, I never did that before so I dont even know where to begin.
The most easy way is to release the game to the ones that donated.

Yeah thats true, where can I find the chatbox? can't find it anywhere.
My plan is to ask permission so when the time comes that it is selfbootable, I can start the fundraising immediately (if it's allowed).

Now I have been thinking about the GDI stuff, I've got an GDI of Sonic Adventure 2 and that boots fine in NullDC. The GDI attempt that I made didn't even show the SEGA logo, so I think that there is some problem with the method I used. When I use the ToeJam GDI, I need to select "Fix GD-ROM Region" else the 3rd track wont even showup in the CD player menu of the system BIOS.

The method I used was :
Copied the tracks of Sonic Adventure 2 to an new folder (Except the data track that hold the game)
Made an new GDI file with these contents

 

This procedure seems ok to me, although I can't say I ever made up a gdi from files, that'd be silly if you can just dump the GD-ROM, which you can't do.

You've used an original untouched ip.bin?

 

Yes, tried with original and own built IP.BIN, didn't work.

I can dump the GD-M, it behaves just like the normal GD-ROM drive and I could dump an small portion before DC-TOOL crashed.
However most of the links and tutorials that I could find for dumping through the serial interface are offline

 

Have you tried those links through archive.org? Could be backuped on there?
