You should try your procedure with a retail game.

I have tested with Ikaruga. It boots only if :
    - you use a dummy with correct size (final rebuild track03.iso must be 1.032.499.200 bytes)
    - you keep the same file order (with your small portion dump from GD-M, it could be possible to extract a sort file. iso9660 storing structures at beginning)

    Hope it'll help.

I would absolutely, without shadow of a doubt, throw my money at this project for a disc-based CIB release, although I would be quite happy to play it in any form, even if it was only useable on emulators.

So will this be getting a public release eventually? Since the main post sounds like it only will be distributed to donators. Not everyone doesn't deserve anything just because they didn't donate :3 I definitely intend to give something, but I sure hope this gets distributed for all since that should be the main point of any release I'd think.

Soon as donators get it, someone will end up putting it on a torrent site somewhere - its always the same. Which is why I dont see a point of donators only release. Just get donations and release it public once target is hit.

Agreed, public release is the way to go.

Also, I wonder what the status is on the stability of the game. Have the lockups been resolved? Well, either way, I can't wait to give it a go, stable or not.

Th OP is pro-conservatio and has expressed this may times, in other words: a public release has alwys been the plan, however obviously he first wants to recoup his costs made (hence the whole donation thing).

You recoup costs with donations for public release too.

This is 100% correct, I'm going to release it to the the public.
However as I've spend 1500 dollars (Which is about 80% of my monthly income) the idea was to start an donation campaign.
When that is running and some amount has been received I release the game to the donators first (as a sort of gratitude for donating)
What the donators do with it that's for them to decide.
If the game isn't released by one of the donators then I do that myself (after a few weeks) , so don't you worry too much. Even if you dont donate you get the game.
The point is with pressing it on disc, I simply don't have the time(I work 40-60 hours a week, sometimes more) or the experience to pull it of.
When I discovered the game I had some time as I had vacation for 3 weeks.

Well i would be in for a pressed disc if you could ever make that happen.
shame this did not make it to final release.

It's a shame that as of now you have been unable to get in contact with Assembler / Kevin. He already went trough the whole pressing process with GF, so I'm confident he's the 'go to' guy for this matter. Imagine having a pressed disc in a PAL case ... :O

btw, good to see that the game protection has been defeated :)

if you decide to press the disc, please, enlist someone with knowledge on optimized disc layouts be involved as well to make sure the pressed disc runs as efficiently as possible (ie. don't just push it onto a disc ala Geist Force)

Getting a disc pressed: questionable legality and a complete pain in the ass.

I agree with that, however many collectors want something in their hands when they give money.
Also when the disc is pressed, it's pressed. You can't change anything anymore (such as bugs) therefore my idea was to release it digitaly.
(And you got a lower risk of getting an "political shitstorm" about legal stuff)

    Also new update :
I've got an new fixed bin and I've built a CDI image with all the resources
and well it seems it works perfectly in the emulator (It realy runs smooth)
Can't wait to release it after donation run and everything.

I wouldn't go with a pressing either - Geist Force you could argue was completely unknown - but this is a valid IP which is still running, I doubt it would be worth taking the risk to be honest.
