This definately doesn't just apply to me but I never skate and I LOVE the Pro Skater series. Ever since I was a kid, I got every single game in the series up until THAW because after THAW I thought the franchise sucked. Seeing THPS5 leaked and then confirmed has me pumped still! I really can't wait to see the final product of this game. I'm hoping that this game has a kick-ass soundtrack, amazing gameplay, and multiplayer of that in THPS3. I really can't wait!

    E3 trailer is up:

Not going to bother denying that the game looks visually weaker than even many 360/PS3 games, but I really don't give a damn. Looks on par with Pro Skater HD, which wasn't great looking either, but was fine.

What does concern me is that the gameplay doesn't seem very refined from what we already have in Pro Skater HD. It's obviously the same engine, but I recall reading that they were tidying up the flaws of the last game. Still seems "floaty," and Tony Hawk says that the game is very near completion.

I'm also not sure why they bothered redoing the classic levels since they were already in Pro Skater HD... I was expecting nine "new" levels. It doesn't make any sense to call it Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 if it's just another rehash of the old stages.

Either way, I'm still optimistic about it. I'm eagerly awaiting more info on the park editor!

There just doesn't seem to be a lot of content. No doubt Activision will DLC the crap out of this, which is really disappointing. It will be released with a $60 price tag, no?

^Yeah, I read an article that said $59.99 for PS4/XBONE, and $39.99 for PS3/360. Allegedly, the online is missing altogether from previous gen versions, hence the lower price tag, I suppose.

I definitely want to stay optimistic about the game, but it perplexes me that Robomodo has been given so many chances with these games after two massive failures from the outset, not that I want to see any development studio crash and burn.

Anyway... hopefully they end up delivering a solid game.

Too rich for my blood. If it debuted at $39.99 for next gen they'd have me sold. Online will probably be the best part.

Of course not. Especially since they're made up of old Midway employees, and I loved me some Midway. I do too. I'll definitely be playing it, but it just seems like the content is stifled.

I don't pay full price for any game these days, so I'll be waiting for a price drop if I decide to get it on the newer consoles... or depending on how much more they strip from the previous gen versions, maybe I'll just get it for 360.

Phantom Pain will probably be the only exception I'll make for full price for a while.
