Toshiba to exit HD DVD market

    Umm im now thinking of getting a xbox HDDVD player wonder how cheap they will become!

    I've got one with 6 movies and boxed with all inserts, barely used...

    Sorry Sony and Toshiba, but DVD-9 FTW! Consider, if you will, the marketshare between DVD, HD-DVD, and BluRay:

    HD-DVD: ~1 million players sold (including the 360 add-on) + ~700,000 PC drives
    BluRay: ~2 million (stand-alone?) + PS3 sales
    DVD: Say it with me now...BILLIONS! Alright, probably more like a billion give or take (figuring from 1st gen to current upconvert players), but you get the point.

    To put it in perspective, HD-DVD and BluRay were lucky to even have ~15% of the disc-based market, vs. ~85% for DVD.
