the early pal models at least came with rf outputs (I think all did actually), compared with the composite for ntsc consoles and scart leads in france. the small little connector is just to provide an electrical input to amplify the rf image (which mixed the composite video and mono audio). Rich

Desoldering the GPU and so on is no problem, as I got a hot air rework station.
