So probably the ultimate version of the game is coming to the Playstation 2, it's been done by Alchemist who are more famous for doing digital novel games which doesn't look too hopeful but they are going to do a nice intro and cut scenes for the game. There will also be a nice ltd edition of the game with a nice figure and some other gubbins. http://www.alchemist-net.co.jp/products/exelica/
hehehe, now it's my turn to say, "Been there, Done that. You could have played it on the Dreamcast years ago." Actually, this is just like the Wii games from the PS2. They're always (well mostly) improved versions. Yakumo
Pretty sure you're not remembering correctly, but I've been wrong before. This game is pretty mediocre at best. Terribly fugly, but somewhat fun at times. Took me about 5 days to 1CC it. Then off it went.
Agreed. I downloaded the demo on XBL, gave it a go and then deleted it from my "want to have" list. No need to waste time and money on this one.

The site i posted is in fact korean. I was going to post a google translation but it came out as confused dribble.
I wondered why nobody has mentioned the absurd price yet. 150$ for the limited edition (includes a figure) and a whopping 89$ for the standard version. I would rather buy the sega direct edition then tbh And at last, THE is a game that does not matter to me at all. Except for the soundtrack, which is simply awesome... together with Shinji Hosoe's works my fav "game-techno" soundtrack.
What do you mean by displaying it in HD? It is in HD!? Technically maybe the best solution, though this game has been made to be played on highres CRT-monitors and I'd always prefer the original resolution (same for Ikaruga for 360).
Oh...I thought it was just displaying it in HD. I didn't know it was redone for HD or anything. Whoops!
I know, that's so annoying. It was cool how Ikaruga let you at least flip your screen...I get trolls to hold my screen up.
Gosh do you think the dollar has seriously weakened in the last couple of months then Japanese games might seem expensive? Maybe stating the Yen price for the game might show in fact it isn't that expensive. Y8,190 for the normal version, which seems to be the price of games released in Japan and Y13,440 for the limited edition which doesn't seem so bad compared with a number of other limited edition games. The limited edition version comes with a nice figure with some other extras which is better then what the DC ltd edition was.
