Well it is the price of a standard game in Japan so it's only relatively expensive as are most full price games in Japan... blame the greedy banking bastards for making the dollar weak. Anyway it should be
To be honest, a late shooter port shouldn't be the same price as a new, high-profile game. I certainly wouldn't spend £60 on it.
8900n odd yen is expensive for a game IMO. Wii games normally cost about 6800 yen or less. Why are PS3 and 360 games so much more? Yakumo
the price [of THE PS2] is high because the expected sale figures are low.it's a niche title for a past system, most who ll get this will pay the price regardless.
The Cave ports retailed for 5800 & 6800. In fact, I don't think any PS2 2D shooter has retailed this high, they are almost all better, and in most cases, weren't re-releases. It's a port. It costs a fraction to develop.
That's because Play Asia know people will pay more. Play Asia is NOT a good reference for prices. The ONLY reference would be a Japanese game store since this is where they are sold first hand. yakumo
The recommended retail price generally bears little resemblance to the price you do find the games in shops.
I've always found it's X% above what they sell them for, where X is *somewhat* static, but of course depends by and large on the qty at which the game is available.
